Made some new friends while hanging out in the everglades for a couple days.

It took a few minutes for this guy to finally get back in the water. The other ducks walked to the edge and jumped in, but this one seemed a little nervous.

We enjoying our summer holiday in the Mullerthal region Luxemburg.

It's always nice to be able to go for a hike and follow a few trails at a nature reserve nearby. It might be the last chance for a while due the Covid-19 virus. We still are free to move if we follow some guidelines.

The National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) in the Netherland has given some guidelines to follow.

We could enjoy the hikingtrail with those guidelines given by the RIVM. But at other areas like some other nature reserves there were actually to many people as we later heard back at home

We did see about 20 other people that also followed some of the trails. Social distancing was easy. With some friendly greetings from a few meters between everybody we still could enjoy the sun and the nice weather with only a bit cold wind from the east

The Hijkerveld reserve is large open area with at lot of heath and grasses, it almost looks like a prairie and this area is closed up between a few sections of forest

Managed to shoot some film also, have do some developing again later this week.

What’s best than waking up super early, having the best weather conditions (fog and then bright sunlight) in one of the best places to photograph deers ? Nothing ! And this particular day was glorious because of this particular sight that I’ll never forget. Shot taken in Richmond Park, London.

And again the weather is very nice and sunny. Perhaps still a bit to warm for this time of the year. But these warm, sunny and dry days are causing some wildfires lately in our little country. We do need some rain.

We decided to go for a hike again, It's still nice to be able to out for a hike even while we still have to deal with the Covid-19 virus

We followed a few trails at the Boswachterij Gieten and enjoyed the sun and the nice weather.

Today the weather would be nice again, No rain and even some sun.

We went for a hike again in our temporary backyard called Kootwijkerzand.

This time we followed a trail that lead to the former shortwave radio transmitter station Radio Kootwijk.

After a short visit and some photos we hiked back to the Kootwijkerzand area and did enjoy some sun.

Finished an other roll black and white film again. Busy times with developing coming up when we are back home.

The dapper Spotted Sandpiper makes a great ambassador for the notoriously difficult-to-identify shorebirds. They occur all across North America, they are distinctive in both looks and actions, and they're handsome. They also have intriguing social lives in which females take the lead and males raise the young. With their richly spotted breeding plumage, teetering gait, stuttering wingbeats, and showy courtship dances, this bird is among the most notable and memorable shorebirds in North America. www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Spotted_Sandpiper/overview#

Dragonflies are predators, both in their aquatic larval stage, when they are known as nymphs or naiads, and as adults. In some species, the nymphal stage lasts for up to five years, and the adult stage may be as long as ten weeks, but most species have an adult lifespan in the order of five weeks or less, and some survive for only a few days.[2] They are fast, agile fliers, sometimes migrating across oceans, and often live near water. They have a uniquely complex mode of reproduction involving indirect insemination, delayed fertilization, and sperm competition. During mating, the male grasps the female at the back of the head, and the female curls her abdomen under her body to pick up sperm from the male's secondary genitalia at the front of his abdomen, forming the "heart" or "wheel" posture
