Just a short stroll around the corner today, still enjoying our short holiday.
Visited a small stretch of nature close to where we are staying this week.
Most of my pictures are taken in and around the city of Molde, witch is the capital of Møre og Romsdal, in the country of Norway
A rose is a woody perennial flowering plant of the genus Rosa, in the family Rosaceae, or the flower it bears. There are over a hundred species and thousands of cultivars.
They form a group of plants that can be erect shrubs, climbing or trailing with stems that are often armed with sharp prickles. Flowers vary in size and shape and are usually large and showy, in colours ranging from white through yellows and reds.

The purple swamphen is a chicken - sized bird, with its huge feet, bright plumage and red bill and frontal shield.
On the beach at Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon stand these massive Icebergs atop the black sand beach. An awesome site to see something so huge and beautiful just sitting there.

I have attempted to get a photo of a cormorant for 2 years and finally I got one Here is a little information I learned about them
Phalacrocoracidae is a family of approximately 40 species of aquatic birds commonly known as cormorants and shags. Several different classifications of the family have been proposed and the number of genera is disputed. The great cormorant (P. carbo) and the common shag (P. aristotelis) are the only two species of the family commonly encountered on the British Isles[1] and "cormorant" and "shag" appellations have been later assigned to different species in the family somewhat haphazardly.
Cormorants and shags are medium-to-large birds, with body weight in the range of 0.35–5 kilograms (0.77–11.02 lb) and wing span of 45–100 centimetres (18–39 in). The majority of species have dark feathers. The bill is long, thin and hooked. Their feet have webbing between all four toes. All species are fish-eaters, catching the prey by diving from the surface. They are excellent divers, and under water they propel themselves with their feet with help from their wings; some cormorant species have been found to dive as deep as 45 metres (150 ft). They have relatively short wings due to their need for economical movement underwater, and consequently have the highest flight costs of any flying bird.[2]
Cormorants nest in colonies around the shore, on trees, islets or cliffs. They are coastal rather than oceanic birds, and some have colonised inland waters. The original ancestor of cormorants seems to have been a fresh-water bird.[citation needed] They range around the world, except for the central Pacific islands. Oh and yeas they have beautiful blue eyes.

I had one day. One day to enjoy the Death Valley as I was in Los Angeles in the morning. I left the city at 6 o'clock and get back at nearly 2 am the next morning. This picture has been taken on Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes (which aren't flat at all BTW). Alone in the desert for nearly 3 hours, it was an incredible moment for me, with only the sound of the wind as witness. This image is a combination of two different shots, one for the stars, and an other for the landscape. Both shots have been made with my Sony A7R and a Tamron 24-70 F/2.8, via a Metabones Adaptor. Hope you'll enjoy it !
