Lacs de l'Eau d'Heure

Les lacs de L'Eau d'Heure sont situés en Wallonie sur le cours de la rivière Eau d'Heure, à cheval sur les provinces de Hainaut et de Namur.
Depuis sa conception entre 1971 et 1978, ce site est situé à trente-deux kilomètres au sud de Charleroi et à cinquante-cinq kilomètres de Namur.
Composé de cinq lacs de retenue, c'est le plus important plan d'eau artificiel de Belgique
Le barrage de la Plate Taille est le plus important barrage de Belgique
Les lacs disposent de plusieurs endroits touristiques : plage, villages de vacances (Goldenlakesvillage), parc aquatique (l'Aquacentre), promenade en petit train, promenades pédestres, et même en amphi bus Le Crocodile Rouge, l’accrobranche (Natura Parc), un centre de plongée, le centre de délassement de Falemprise (Le Relais de Falemprise), un golf aquatique, de la planche à voile, visite du barrage de la Plate-Taille. Un centre d’accueil se situe près du barrage.

The Eau d'Heure lakes are located in Wallonia on the course of the Eau d'Heure river, straddling the provinces of Hainaut and Namur.
Since its conception between 1971 and 1978, this site has been located thirty-two kilometers south of Charleroi and fifty-five kilometers from Namur.
Composed of five reservoirs, it is the largest artificial body of water in Belgium
The Plate Taille dam is the largest dam in Belgium.
The lakes have several tourist spots: beach, holiday villages (Goldenlakesvillage), water park (Aquacentre), small train rides, walks, and even Le Crocodile Rouge amphibus, tree climbing (Natura Parc), a diving center, the Falemprise relaxation center (Le Relais de Falemprise), an aquatic golf course, windsurfing, visit to the Plate-Taille dam. A reception center is located near the dam.

Meine Fotofreundin Lele- hh
nahm mich gestern auf einen wunderschönen Fotoausflug mit an die Nordsee. Dort konnte ich erstmalig Spießenten beobachten und fotgrafieren.
Mit dem Foto verabschiede ich mich erst einmal hier bei Flickr für zwei Wochen, denn ich mache Foto-Urlaub in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
Für mich die erste Sichtung von einem Zwergschwan Pärchen.
Die Qualität der Aufnahme ist leider nicht so besonders geworden. Es war noch wenig Licht und als es ein bisschen heller wurde sind sie aufgestiegen um irgendwo in den umliegenden Feldern den Tag zu verbringen und sich voll zu futtern.
Ich hatte mich sehr drüber gefreut dort welche entdeckt zu haben.
Erkennen kann man den Zwergschwan.
Der Zwergschwan ist etwas kleiner als der Singschwan und sieht eigentlich genauso aus wir er.
Der mokanteste Unterschied liegt am Schnabel. Dort ist die gelbe Fläche wesentlich kleiner als beim Singschwan und entsprechend mehr Schwarz.
This was my first sighting of a pair of tundra swan .
Unfortunately, the quality of the shot wasn't that great. There was still little light and when it got a bit brighter they went up to spend the day somewhere in the surrounding fields to feed.
I was very pleased to have spotted some there.

The tundra swan is slightly smaller than the Whooper swan and actually looks just like it.
The most striking difference is the beak. The yellow area there is considerably smaller than on the whooper swan and correspondingly more black.
This adult Bald Eagle grabbed some lunch from the river and headed for the trees to enjoy it's meal.
