In the northern part of the park are the granite mountains Cerro Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre

The Chilean Torres del Paine National Park borders on the south of the national park.

One of the countless awesome vistas in Glacier National Park. The weather can be a problem but for the patient is no obstacle as it changes every 30 minutes.

SCXY 1326 and company continue south into Pine City and over the Snake River with about 70 cars from the BNSF interchange in Hinckley on July 24, 2014. The trailing unit is SCXY 1325 is the newest arrival from Independent Locomotive Services, making for five units currently active on the St. Croix Valley. The two flared former SD45s are expected to handle the turn to Hinckley as a pair. The green Geep is expected to be relieved of the mainline duty and will soon be mostly used down by Zimpro and the sand loadout in North Branch.

 

This could have happened by now I suppose as these were taken last week.

First of all, Joshua Tree NP is a very large park. Encompassing a total of 795,156 acres (1,242.4 square miles) – it is slightly larger than the state of Rhode Island.

 

We entered the park from the south, off of I-10, and covered many miles without seeing a single tree. But as you get closer to 29 Palms and California 62, on the north side of the park - the largest member of the Yucca family starts to show up everywhere.
