EOS was the rosy-fingered goddess of the dawn.

🎼: Need You Now ~ Lady Antebellum~

✈️ : Upside Down Poses and Photo Sim

Picture perfect memories

Scattered all around the floor

Reaching for the phone 'cause, I can't fight it anymore

And I wonder if I ever cross your mind

For me it happens all the time

It's a quarter after one, I'm all alone and I need you now

Said I wouldn't call but I lost all control and I need you now

And I don't know how I can do without, I just need you now

Another shot of whiskey, can't stop looking at the door

Wishing you'd come sweepin' in the way you did before

And I wonder if I ever cross your mind

For me it happens all the time

It's a quarter after one, I'm a little drunk, and I need you now

Said I wouldn't call but I lost all control and I need you now

And I don't know how I can do without, I just need you now

Whoa oh whoa

Guess I'd rather hurt than feel nothing at all

It's a quarter after one, I'm all alone and I need you now

And I said I wouldn't call but I'm a little drunk and I need you now

And I don't know how I can do without, I just need you now

I just need you now

♫ And now I know why the all the trees change in the fall

I know you were on my side

Even when I was wrong

And I love you for giving me your eyes

Staying back and watching me shine and

I didn't know if you knew

So I'm taking this chance to say

That I had the best day with you today ♫

Legend says that Atlantis city was built by Poseidon, god of sea when he fell in love with a mortal woman Cleito. He made this city on top of a nearby hill and named it Atlantis. It is believed that he walked through these islands until he reached the biggest of them all- Atlantis and found it to be inhabited by people more beautiful and intelligent than rest of the world. It is here he first saw his future wife and fell in love with her.

While admiring some glasses on a shelf at my friends house,

I thought of the Mexican hat I'd seen earlier that day in their basement.

And in the spirit of the moment..I set up my shot.

China Rose (Rosa chinensis)

The first of our Red China Roses is open.

I have this awful habit of waking up sleeping things when I'm hiking. First the marmots, now this poor chap. I moved on quickly so he could resume his slumber. I am just glad it wasn't a bear.

Now defined as art, the totem has lost its cult, taboo, and custom ...

I love old fashioned ornaments!

Update: We are making progress! We have found my mother in law a wonderful care home only minutes away from our house. She can move in anytime after Christmas!

Still a lot to do but the part that was worrying us the most is done!

Thank you each and everyone one of you for your kind words of support! You are all awesome!

*Now Sweetheart — a poem by Cemal Süreya, İstanbul

Now sweetheart, I am thinking of you in a big city

A dim blue pen in my hand, two packs of cigarettes in my pocket

Our life is like a movie playing in front of my eyes

Our going out freely, drinking water together, kissing

I cry, whenever I remember how we laughed together

Flowers, flowers, I watered the flowers this morning

That rose just doesn't smile when you are not here

That flower you put in water by the window to get it grow roots

It is completely in grief these days

A dense and strong daylight is hitting the window

The plates are cheerless on the table

The hallway is deserted

The towels are alone in the shower

Don't even ask the kitchen - untidy and dirty

The sponge is right there, the breadbox is empty

The ventilator is breathless

The rugs are dusty

My clothes are in the wardrobe, and here and there

Memo's toy box is in deep sleep

The blue night lamp has no ambition

The door says open me, close me

The curtains are like snakes changing skin

The radio? It is silent

The stool is afraid of the chairs

The small room is dark and deserted

Everything is waiting for you, for your return

For you to come in

For the touch of your hands

For the touch of your eyes

And everything is repeating

How much I love you

Let's face it now, it isn't everyday we see a genuine example of anti gravity anywhere let alone in agarden is it now? Yet here we have it along with the evidence, and not just any garden - it's in our garden! I know, it's incredible, but its not for sale so don't even go there.

The only other example I can think of is those UFO things that keep turning up on people's phones, but as folks don't believe in those, that makes this little baby unique does it not.

I'll tell you something else, it's totally silent, doesn't make a sound and you can pass your hands all around and underneath it like one of those stage magicians - it doesn't seem to mind. Nor, does it limit itself to any one flowerbed, oh no it moves with it's whims not just the sun, hot border in the morning, vegetable patch in the afternoon - it even followed me into the house one day!

A couple of days after taking this very photo, my wife and I had to pop to the garden centre (we were looking for something inter dimensional) and this little baby kept pace with us for an entire kilometre. It was only as we turned out of our road and my wife put the pedal to the metal that we thought we had lost it - I say 'thought' because when we pulled into the car park at the garden centre about 10 miles away there it was! I don't think anyone else saw it for it was hovering about 50 feet in the air directly over the compost bags, as it did so it slowly rotated and as the sun caught its petals it appeared to change colour - just like one of those bona fide UFOs that don't exist, and when we got home an hour later, there it was, sunning itself next to the garlic. I know, I know, it's incredible, but it isn't for sale so don't even go there....

We passed this guy who climbed to the top of this rock formation at the start of our hike. When we passed by on the way back, about an hour later, he was still there. Maybe he was waiting for someone, taking in the view, resting or...?

Evidently rock climbing is permitted in this area because there was a climber on each rock face near the parking area. Some were experienced; some seemed like they were stuck, like the guy in the next picture.

I've looked at love from both sides now

From give and take, and still somehow

It's love's illusions I recall

I really don't know love at all

Sint Nicholaskerk is the most seen and at the same time overlooked church in Amsterdam as well as being one its most recent constructions, no one can miss this iconic structure upon arrival to the city walking from Centraal Station your eye is immediately drawn to it at 58 m in height it towers over the city skyline.

This Roman Catholic Church was designed by Architect Adrianus Bleijs and is a nod to the past combining elements of neo-Baroque and neo-Renaissance styles, completed in 1887 it was made a minor Basilica in 2012.

The church is dedicated to the 4th century charitable patron saint of children that became our Santa Claus as well as the patron saint of sailors and prostitutes, another winning combination.

In the Netherlands Santa Claus is known as Sinterklaas and a feast has been celebrated for over 700 years in his name and adopted in the early part of 20th century the tradition of leaving small gifts in children’s shoes was practiced on Dec 6th which has evolved now to become a Dec 5th evening tradition of gathering of family and friends to exchange gifts and laughter.

While Dutch Sinterklaas celebrations are mainly for the children its adult component is an annual grievance poem written to the recipient that must rhyme and be read out loud by the subject at the evening party all in good fun but beware you may get as good as you give.

I took this on Sept 10th, 2017 with my D750 and Nikon 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens at 58mm 15 sec f/16 ISO100 processed in LR, PS +Lumenzia, Topaz , Luminar and DXO

Disclaimer: My style is a study of romantic realism as well as a work in progress

took his last drink, and swore his last oath. Today, we are a pious and exemplary community. Thirty days from now, we shall have cast our reformation to the winds and gone to cutting our ancient shortcomings considerably shorter than ever. We shall also reflect pleasantly upon how we did the same old thing last year about this time :-)

Autumn also brings a lot of changes to the birds, and very noticeable is the one on the finches that completely lose their bright yellow plumage to a mix of very dull green-yellowish that makes us to take a second look.

Right now here in PA the rain has started and many trees have lost their leaves, but they still have a unique charm specially at the end of a sunny day. The wind has move from place to place tons of leaves that are forming colorful skirts which now makes it difficult to know from which tree were originally from.

This image had only a white background so I decided to merge a second one with autumn leaves.

Perfect for the autumn mood...
