I noticed this wine in my local Centra supermarket. The label appealed, so I snapped this trio of bottles with Hipstamatic app.
There used to be a Wine Wednesday group, but it seems in the almost 5 years since I took this photo, the group has disappeared off Flickr. Happy Wine Wednesday anyway 🍷

I was doing sweet corn on the grill when I noticed how the husk came together. Viola! An abstract picture was born.

I'm not completely dead. Pasta (and her human) were the only ones that noticed I had dropped out for a couple of days.
Anywho (BenKitty hates when I say "anywho", so that's why I say it) - feeling better today. I'll wander by your streams tonight.
I'm sure you're all excited now.
You may notice that this green iguana is not in fact green! She came to The Living Rainforest after being a pet for a number of years. It is common in the pet trade to selectively breed individuals with more desirable traits, and artificially create different colour morphs. This can cause issues within the captive population of the species, as it often involves in-breeding.
The green iguana (Iguana iguana), also known as the American iguana or the common green iguana, is a large, arboreal, mostly herbivorous species of lizard of the genus Iguana. Usually, this animal is simply called the iguana. The green iguana ranges over a large geographic area; it is native from southern Brazil and Paraguay as far north as Mexico, and has been introduced from South America to Puerto Rico and is very common throughout the island, where it is colloquially known as gallina de palo ("bamboo chicken" or "chicken of the tree") and considered an invasive species; in the United States, feral populations also exist in South Florida (including the Florida Keys), Hawaii, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. Green iguanas have also successfully colonised the island of Anguilla, arriving on the island in 1995 after rafting across the Caribbean from Guadeloupe, where they were introduced.
A herbivore, it has adapted significantly with regard to locomotion and osmoregulation (the maintenance of constant osmotic pressure in the fluids of an organism by the control of water and salt concentrations) as a result of its diet. It grows to 1.5 m in length from head to tail, although a few specimens have grown more than 2 m with bodyweights upward of 9.1 kg.
This animal is a resident of The Living Rainforest which is an indoor greenhouse tropical rainforest that is located in Hampstead Norreys in Berkshire, England. It is an ecological centre, educational centre and visitor attraction consisting of three glasshouses, operated and run by the Trust for Sustainable Living. The glasshouses are named Amazonica, Lowlands and Small Islands respectively.
The Living Rainforest has been accredited by the Council for Learning Outside of the Classroom and awarded the LOtC Quality Badge. Each year around 25,000 children visit the Living Rainforest as part of their school's curriculum. It is open 7-days a week from 09:30 to 16:00.
Noticed this street art while walking home--thru Brooklyn

Noticed this little guy off the side of the trail last weekend. Got this shot as his head poked out of the shadows and he spotted me.
I noticed this young girl during the Open Day of 'de Vasim', a former factory, now a place for various cultural activities.
The girl was attentively watching and listening to a musical trio, hands behind her back.
I had miss H's old mohair scalp lying around, and while adg does not fit kenners so well, it fit her ebl noggin beautifully. I liked it so much on her, she got to keep it.
It's much lighter then her old hair, which was the reason her poor neck broke. Also, since she has no lashes there is no problem with it catching.
As we left Little Athletics I noticed something going on in the grounds of the school opposite the track. The Little Eagle was being harassed by Magpies and Ravens as it was trying to eat its catch.

The characteristic Yellow cabs are so fast in NYC that are really difficult freeze them, or not?... I was thinking to try to build an HDR from 5 shots to show the impressive, massive, huge Empire State Building from its base, when I noticed the blue sky and the yellow taxis, so I've decided to try a whole composition. Did that work?
Here's another night shot from the farm. No Milky Way but plenty of stars. You'll notice a streak of light in the sky. Most would say it's a shooting star but I say it's Superman.
Notice the eye color of the chick or juvenile for that matter. It changes from orange to yellow in adulthood.
The original triangular cupola I began this tutorial with months ago is in the rear of this polyhedron. I only resumed work three weeks ago, spending perhaps an hour per weeknight folding each triangular cupola.
When I took this picture yesterday, I only had one more cupola to attach. As you can see, my technique has been to glue (yes, glue) the front and back of each cupola separately. In most cases I attached the 12 front hexagonal units before the 3 rear triangular units, but I reversed this order for the last cupola since it is easiest to do the inside before the outside when closing an object up permanently.
Of course I finished the object yesterday. Since I gave the polyhedron to Addie_Goodvibes this morning, I forgot to take a picture of the completed structure. (I'll have to take one later.) Update: See the next image in the set.
As usual I needed 510 sheets of paper to complete this polyhedron. Each sheet was 15x15cm, so the whole thing is about the size of a beach ball; I can fit my head through any of the decagonal holes. While the great rhombicosidodecahedron is fairly stable, I don't think it would be a wise idea to roll it around due to the weight of the paper.

If a photographer can’t feel what he is looking at, then he is never going to get others to feel anything when they look at his pictures.
I managed to finally drag myself out for a gentle wander around the lanes. Just before coming across this puddle, I had noticed movement in the woods to the left. I kept looking, as it didn't seem to be a dog, and realised there were two roe deer there.
After feeling poorly all week, this cheered me up, although it certainly didn't cure my cough :-(
Crab spider on a sunflower with a sweat bee meal (sad face) at the Davis Community Gardens.
That spider blends in very well. I didn't even notice it until I got quite close. I just noticed that the bee was at an odd angle.
