The signature feature of Mansion Rowe is the large houses on the hillsides. Here you can see up to six trains running through this scene. Look for kids playing baseball, a daredevil pilot flying overhead, and a diesel switcher that you can run back and forth, and hopefully, you'll take a look at this area at the end of your visit!

A glimpse into our control room! We have about 97 sections of track, each controlled by its own tranformer, which takes the electricity from the building and reduces it to the number of volts needed to power the trains. We turn the levers about an hour in advance to make sure all the trains are up and running when Northlandz opens up for the day!

In 2009, we visited the Northlandz and really had a good time. The size of the models / terrain was very impressive. The size of the building in general is impressive, with 2+ miles of walking from beginning to end. The Doll Museum was a smaller section of the building, and was nice as well. We can not wait to go back this year.

The story (in the little note) goes that everyone sold to the quarry company except for Grandma, so they just dug round her home and gave her a bridge to get in and out.
They had an audio commentary in this part, that also told the story, and added that when the miners caused her plumbing to fail by digging too close to her home, she got herself an outhouse that dumped its (ahem) waste, direct into the quarry, to teach them a lesson!
Northlandz, Flemington NJ. This was the only shot the whole day where panning blurred the background properly. There is no post processing here.

nice job turning a larger-scale violin into a bass violin, but maybe they should look for a different bow.
