Happy Halloween!
An entry into the Bay Centre's Christmas Tree display to raise funds and awareness for the BC Children's Hospital. Different companies, groups and organizations decorated Christmas trees, some were conventional and others were unusual and interesting.
The film "Nightmare Before Christmas" was a popular theme in this years Festival of Trees. The event was held at the Bay Centre in downtown Victoria, British Columbia.
Day 3 -
Sally was playing at the Haunted Mansion when Jack appeared and asked her to help with the Naughty list!!!
There's nothing like a windy spring day for taking photos!
My (nameless) Dandy Pumpkin Great Dollcena, who I bought secondhand for $5, wears the dress from Petite Blythe Mitten, who I bought secondhand for nearly $100. The dress suits her perfectly--go figure!

Halloween Time has officially returned to Disneyland, and I'm so excited. Halloween is my favorite holiday, and last year I was unable to shoot many of the decorations (due to lens constraints). This year, my 24-70 and I are ready to put some serious shooting on the schedule, so please enjoy this photo of Jack Skellington's decorating!

Macro Monday: Theme - Nightmare
It's really a Nightmare before Christmas at my house right now. Everyone is sick. As a matter of fact, I spent this morning in the emergency room because my youngest has croup and had trouble breathing. We're supposed to be leaving town for Christmas and I'm so worried about my boys. My nightmares usually involve my kids being sick. Nothing worse than seeing your kids in pain, uncomfortable or suffering. I wish as a mom I had the power to absorb the illness and pain away from them and onto me.
Wishing you all a safe and healthy Macro Monday and Sliders Sunday
PS: this guy scares me. Saw someone dressed as Jack on Halloween and the way the guy played the roll was frieky. A life-sized Jack frightens me and yeah, I had a nightmare about him.
Thanks for the Explore front page! your visit, comments and faves are always appreciated!
*before final hair treatment*
I created the lovely miss Sally for my dear friend Betty/velvetchi. She is, of course, inspired by Sally from Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas.
She is not for sale, and any photos of her posted here are to share her loveliness and reference for my creative portfolio only.
My MOST beloved couple in the world!
Jack & Sally from the Nightmare before Christmas. ^___^ <3
Sally is made from a Bobobie Pandora in blue skin and has the "grabby hands".
She was a fullset commission, I made the dress, socks, the face-up and did her scars/seams.
This was one of my favorite projects ever. *^___^*
Day 22
After a lot of activity Sally decided her limbs needed tightening, so she sewed herself back together.
This is my "cute" Halloween personal project, gruesome to come. Yes, Zero is "flying" via a structure I labored over the engineering and through the magic of my bad photography, you can't see at all,, lol!
number 5 explore and made front page, woo hoo!
What's this? What's this?
There's color everywhere
What's this?
There's white things in the air
What's this?
I can't believe my eyes
I must be dreaming
Wake up, Jack, this isn't fair
What's this?
Day 9 - Sally has been spending time reimagining herself - She kinda likes the idea of a big head like the Blythe dolls that live with her ;D Also a sassier dress with a special bow on the back. Even Scary Teddy has a new look!!!
Day 17
Sally put on her Dr. Frankestein dress for her runway show and along came a Franken poodle to help
(She's actually a Vampoodle but she's got a Frankenstein do going on) ;D
I love this movie, and Jack and Sally have a strong emotional pull for me, and people who know me well might understand why. ^.^;;
Had fun playing with the shaped apertures in my lensbaby here.
Sally enjoying this special day at the fountain in Halloween town. Hope you all have a safe and fun Halloween!!! Till Next year (Maybe????)
Day 31 Happy Halloween
Day 6
Sally used some of her little concoctions to create the perfect Jack o Lantern but something went wrong and the little guy came alive and threw up all her potions Uh Oh - Poor Sally!!!
