Thank you so much!
New England weathers can be bitter cold. As winter approaches each year it seems to get colder and colder along the coastlines between New Hampshire and Maine
Whilst there are thousands of ponies and cattle in the New Forest there are only a few hundred donkeys. They are extremely hardy and can survive on the Forest all year round, browsing, like this one, on trees and bushes in preference to grass.
Unfortunately increased tourist activity in the New Forest this year due to the pandemic is driving a lot more animals including deer onto the roads. Respect for their habitat and well being must be paramount.
New EMD SD70ACe 4833 was in transit to CSX after spending a few months at La Grange for some tweaking.
CSX never really embraced these things and in 2017 it was sold to Progress Rail. It then made its way to the Iron Range and is now North Shore Mining 671.
This is the hostel at New Norcia, which until recently operated as a hotel. Looking through the windows the bar and dining areas still look like an operating hotel. New Norcia is Australia's only monastic town which has an interesting if not sordid history, depending on who you listen to. That said it was certainly an interesting place to visit and explore, albeit very overcast and drizzly when we were there.
The New River is neither new nor a river. It is a water supply aqueduct, completed in 1613, to bring drinking water from Hertfordshire to North London.
New Generation Rollingstock member EMU705 eases off Riverview after a test run to Robina earlier in the day.
The New Forest in Hampshire wearing its Autumn coat of golden colours. A wonderful time of the year for a walk, the smell of the damp leaves, sound of trickling streams....add a nice bit sun and you have the perfect reason to get out there and take your camera too.

My good friend Lukas Piel, showed me a new method to create a nice sky or background in black, grey and white, he is a good friend of mine and I started my account here on Flickr because he showed it to me.
Check him out he is a really talented photographer!
And the kind to design the sky is also inspired by Mey Belin, please check her also out!

Rhipidura fuliginosa.
One of New Zealand’s best-known small endemic songbirds. Widespread throughout New Zealand in a variety of habitats, including urban parks and gardens. Uniquely characterized by a long white and black tail which it constantly flicks around and fans, and which is often the first thing visible. Will often approach people closely. Constantly on the move, hawking for insects in acrobatic flight. Uncommon all-black morph is present on the South Island and occasionally seen on the North Island. Listen for frequent vocal sounds consisting of a regular “cheep” or a squeaky “tweeta-tweeta-tweeta.”
