Airport Expresses, Xbox 360 and a Airport Extreme. With System Shock 2 installation in between. I wish I could get System Shock 2 working on my MacBook Pro OSX in Parallels!
Network Rail's test unit (based on a Class 150 DMU) heads towards Winning Crossing on the Blyth & Tyne Railway.
A closeup on an IKEA 'rack' in my 'den', which holds our network printer, scanner, network server ('ayeka') and some hanging files.
The printer ('azaka') is an HP LaserJet 4100TN network laser, which we can print to from anywhere else on our home LAN. I bought this from my office when they were engaged in a bout of new printer-buying in late 2005, and were selling off the older machines. The printer cost me somewhat less than a new toner cartridge for it, though thankfully at time of writing I haven't had to replace one yet.
The scanner is a Canon LiDE 35 USB model - currently connected directly to 'tenchi' (my main desktop PC), though one day I want to try linking it to 'ayeka' running a SANE scanner server, so we could scan from any other PC on the network. That's not exactly high on the list, though.

Just finished optimizing power distribution wiring. Installed a Tripp-Lite 15A metered PDU and 9ea of 10' long power cords, which are now in a bundle down the middle of the right side panel. Surprised it only draws 2A, but the server and old NAS are not powered up. Next upgrade will be end of November with completion of 10G upgrade for part of the network. You can see the thicker CAT6A cables next to the older CAT6 cables. I got one spool and replaced wiring for most of the 2nd floor connections which includes my study and media room. Already have a 10G switch and upgraded the 24 port 1G switch to one with a 10G uplink so the switches are connected via SFP+ at 10G. Will get first 10G NIC my next trip to the USA. NAS with 10G is still too expensive. Maybe next year...

The number of adults accessing the Internet every day in Great Britain more than doubled between 2006 and 2012, from 16 million to 33 million. A recent growth in social networking has been one of the most significant changes to the ways in which individuals communicate over the Internet. In 2012, almost half of all adults (48%) used social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
Social networking has broad appeal and although its use is lower amongst the older population, its use is not exclusively limited to younger age groups. In 2012, 62% of adults aged 35 to 44, and 40% of adults aged 45 to 54 used social networks to communicate online.

For the next three weeks I will be unable to do the Blythe Network News as I will be a traveling Blythe myself. I will be in Japan on a great adventure. BNN has received the permission of the shows sponsor, Minkidynamite to bring in a guest reporter. Suzy’s girl Nixie will be stepping in. Her views and her views only are the only ones authorized by this station and no one else from Suzy’s household (Pen). Remember if you have a girl who would like to be a reporter for this station she would be welcome (except Pen). Suzy will send me a link so anyone who is not one of her contacts can still hear the news. I will sign off for now. Stay well everyone and I look forward to seeing you when I return! Good night this is Blythe Network News.

Everyone has been posting the most amazing photos! I wanted to thank blytheraphy for sending me the lovely gift of a journal to keep track of the routes of the Travelers. I really appreciate it. The network has received a bit of press lately in an interview with Aurora’s Customizer by Gingerurchin and mademoiselleblythe’s interview of Linda. Sandra (minkidynamite) the station President has been in touch. So with the thought that all is well everyone here at BNN wishing you a good night!
(5/31/12 Me: Holly can I add a personal note?
Holly: If you must.
Me: If you are reading this you really should go see Just Biz's photos of Compass in a HOT AIR BALLOON. They are amazing shots and they deserve to be looked at and commented on!
Holly: If Sandra complains about exceeding our air time limit I will send her to you.)

Social networking wasn't created by Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn. It has existed since two humans got together and shared stories.
This social media cartoon depicts a social media strategist explaining that just having dinner and chatting is a form of social networking.

As far as I know, this is all of the NCT model fleet which carry the Nottingham Network livery. The rest are all in Go2 or green and cream.
The two maroon line buses I've talked about recently as both are quite recent additions. Despite being quite a small line (as in, maroon line had few routes and no Go2 services) it got through 3 sets of vehicles - the ELC Flytes, Optare Solos and lastly Scania Omnitowns - of which I have models of the first two types.
529 is the standard CMNL model, one of the few which depict NCT buses after the 2001 'reshuffle' and introduction of colour coding. I think it's the only code 1 model to exist which shows an NCT bus in network livery. The Omnicity buses lasted on network orange until about 2014 when they were displaced from the 35 by 2005/7 registered Omnidekkas.
527 is another one of my repaints. When colour coding came into force, NCT's fleet had a variety of double and single deckers that had been new in the green and cream livery. The single decker fleet had far less standardisation than the double decker fleet, so while the brand new Scania Omnicities and Optare Excels were mostly branded for the Go2 routes, a mix of 1990s single deckers were repainted into network livery including ones with Alexander PS, Alexander Strider and Wright Axcess Ultralow bodywork. The Wrights went into orange line livery while most of the step-entrance buses went on to navy line. Pretty much every midibus route was taken over by Solos - the 11 and 21 even had Go2 branded Solos!
403 has a similar story to the one above. Bought when green and cream was the standard NCT livery, it was one of the older - less standardised - buses repainted into the network livery while the newest low floor Omnidekka and Trident buses were branded for the Go2 services.
When the Omnidekka became the latest and greatest thing for (almost) every Go2 service to have, the Tridents previously used on those services were cascaded onto network routes to displace older and less accessible vehicles. This is how I remember seeing Tridents from visits to town, in two-tone green with colourful branding on the upper panels for network brown, lilac, turquoise and lime (among others). Although I do recall seeing Tridents in service on Go2 red line, so clearly not every Trident I remember was a network one!
Disability Partnership liveried 75 has had extra vinyls added for Your Housing group, seen on the 10C service to Stockton Heath via too many places, 2 September 2013.
