Got a 1GB stick to install in my ReadyNAS NV+. Amazon has the best price on the Crucial RAM that's compatible.
The case comes off with screws in three sections. RAM snaps into a standard socket.
Netgear recommends running the memory test twice on new RAM before using it. Just hold the power button down until the 5th blink, the display wil read 25: Memory Test. Took about 3 hours to finish both cycles.

Testing the wi-fi for the meal tent at LI2009 - On the top of the mast is a 5GHz Ubiquiti NanoStation pointing back at an identical unit mounted on the roof of the west building. A consumer-grade NetGear access point is providing 802.11n to client stations. test rig is being powered by a booster pack with a built-in inverter. Power consumption on this is low enough that it could be run from a solar panel.

I replaced this broadband router a few years ago and it's been languishing in its box, just taking up space, ever since. It's time to move it on to someone who's actually going to use it.
