Joseph had already scored himself a killer bib by the time I came. Normally he stays for a while, but he had to get back to Plaxo for a meeting. I managed to get him to come back later though, for PodTech.
I switched lenses. Trying to start a new "look" for Lunch 2.0 photography: CHLomo!
I think these correspond to activity on the seven different antennae, but who knows. They're probably just for looks.
Edit: Netgear's setup guide confirms that these are the antennae with activity. Cool.

LAN party hosted by Mr Lachlan. Lots more peeps than I expected, we ended up filling this switch then some. Liked this shot with the focus at the front because the lights gain more and more bokeh toward the back of the photo. No noise reduction, liked it messy.

Just bought a Netgear ReadyNAS Duo v2 and loaded it up with 2x2TB hard drives. Oh wow - we're getting serious about space management now.
First thing to do is reclaim the space on my PC! I've been cutting it thin with less than 10% on several drives and it's like driving on empty!
The first big batch of images is 2011-2013 to be copied over...Finally, some free space!
I can't connect computers but don't understand switches? Who Is this for. Mind you why does it have a switch in the first place?
This is what my network was back in '03. 100BaseT switch, Netgear RT314, same DSL modem as now, and a D-Link wireless router for wifi.
Note the iBook. This is our only machine connected to the internet, through a netcomm internet router thingy.
The LCA2005 cat6e cable connects the ibook to the netgear router, to its internet port.
From there, the two laptops seen in the picture, plus another one off screen.
If you're in the area. NETGEAR is the name of the SSID I'm running. It's open and unsecured. :)

The Orbi got bricked by Netgear doing an unscheduled software update as I was resetting it. However you can grab the satellite to extend your Orbi network

I got my first wireless router in 2004, it was a second-hand Linksys given by my brother. Yesterday, I changed it for a new Netgear router which has better wireless speeds and range!. Thanks bro for the new one!

The screws are along the rear side in the right of the picture. The panels slide off to the back. They were pretty snug on mine and almost needed to be pried off.
Got a 1GB stick to install in my ReadyNAS NV+. Amazon has the best price on the Crucial RAM that's compatible.
The case comes off with screws in three sections. RAM snaps into a standard socket.
Netgear recommends running the memory test twice on new RAM before using it. Just hold the power button down until the 5th blink, the display wil read 25: Memory Test. Took about 3 hours to finish both cycles.

Netgear gave out travel routers to its press conference attendees. Unfortunately, they don't know how to spell "configure." But hey, that's hardly essential for networking.
