Hey guys, I built this last night. I am really happy with how it came out, and I could not wait to share it with you. I made up some new techniques for this, such as the way I hung the sock over the fire and the Native American's feather on his head. Thank you for viewing, please let me know what you think. Japanese artist Junkyu Muto began gracing 7 locations around the world with his art, honoring important and historic sites. This was his third site, Devils Tower. The first was the Vatican and the second was Budda's birthplace. Honoring the Native American was "Sacred Circle of Smoke" for the Lakota and Northern Cheyenne tribes as a gift from the Japanese government. Devils Tower National Monument. Hulett, Wyoming USA.
Dactylorhiza viridis aka Coeloglossum viride, the Bracted Green orchid or Bracted Bog orchid.
Characterized by its long bracts and distinctive notched rectangular lip. This "LGJ" (little green job) is one of the most common orchids in Alberta - it is found in all sorts of different environments, often in disturbed areas such as right along hiking trails. Most people walk right by them, without even seeing them.
These plants are but a couple amoung the hundreds that are found beneath a power line near a popular hiking trail near Canmore, Alberta. (one species of 11 that I have found in that area!)

Kangaroo paw is the common name for a number of species, in two genera of the family Haemodoraceae, that are endemic to the south-west of Western Australia. These rhizomatous perennial plants are noted for their unique bird-attracting flowers. The tubular flowers are coated with dense hairs and open at the apex with six claw-like structures, and it is from this paw-like formation that the common name kangaroo paw is derived.
