----------------------------- JESUS ✝️ SAVES-------------------------------

SALVATION THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST - ALONE!

12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."

❤️❤️ IT'S ALL JESUS AND NONE OF OURSELVES! ❤️❤️

16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the SALVATION of everyone WHO BELIEVES: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 17 For in the gospel a RIGHTEOUSNESS FROM GOD IS REVEALED, a righteousness that is by FAITH FROM FIRST TO LAST, just as it is written: "THE RIGHTEOUS WILL LIVE BY FAITH." (Romans 1:16-17)

16 KNOW that a man is NOT justified by observing the law, but by FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be JUSTIFIED BY FAITH in CHRIST and NOT by observing the law, BECAUSE BY OBSERVING THE LAW NO ONE WILL BE JUSTIFIED. (Galatians 2:16)

1. Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2. BY THIS GOSPEL YOU ARE SAVED, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.

3. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4. that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5. and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. 6. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 7. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, 8. and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.

9. For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. 11. Whether, then, it was I or they, this is what we preach, and this is what you believed. (1 Corinthians 15:1-11)

7. Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. 8. All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9. I am the gate; whoever enters through me WILL BE SAVED. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10. The thief comes only to STEAL and KILL and DESTROY; I have come that they may have LIFE, and have it to the FULL. (John 10:7-10)

1 Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved. 2 For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge. 3 Since they did not know the righteousness that comes from God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness. 4 Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.

5 Moses describes in this way the righteousness that is by the law: "The man who does these things will live by them." 6 But the righteousness that is by faith says: "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?'" (that is, to bring Christ down) 7 "or 'Who will descend into the deep?'" (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8 But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: 9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11 As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame." 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile--the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:1-13)

Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so WE might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH!

So you'll KNOW, and not think you're to bad for God to love. The Christian LIFE isn't about how good WE are, because NONE of us are! It's about how GOOD JESUS IS! Because JESUS LOVES US, so much he died in our place and took the punishment for all of our sins on himself. The wages of sin is DEATH, and Jesus took the death WE so richly deserved for us and died in our place. The good news is, there's no more punishment for sin left. WE, you and I were all born forgive as a result of the crucifixion of God himself on the cross that took away the sins of the whole world. All we have to do is believe it, and put your Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. That my friends is REAL UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! YOU ARE LOVED. ❤️ ✝️ ❤️

The original name for Corncrake in Britain was Rail. John Ray wrote the first bird book in the English language in 1678 and he called it "Rail, or Daker-hen". The word Rail comes from the French râle, which is a death rattle, the gurgling or rattling sound sometimes heard in the throat of a dying person. But it is also the French word for Water Rail. Corncrake and Water Rail are similar, and were often confused, and there was even a superstitious belief that Corncrakes turned into Water Rails in winter. John Ray (1678) called them Water Rail, to distinguish them from the Rail. To differentiate the two, Corncrake later became known as Land Rail, but the original Rail (râle) referred to the rattling call of a Corncrake. The name Crake is also imitative of the sound made by Corncrakes, and the word croak is from the same root. The slang term "to croak" is still used to refer to someone dying, from the death rattle. And finally I was reading The Birds of Yorkshire by Thomas Nelson, written in 1907 when Corncrakes were still widespread in the county. He said that the children in Skipton district are forbidden by their parents to search for this bird, being warned that death is certain to follow within a year if they see one. I have several books on bird folklore and this is the only place I have seen mention of this superstition.

I photographed this Corncrake very early morning on Iona. You can see a few drops of dew. This one was right behind the Fire Station on Iona.

I've been thinking of changing my name for a while now but don't know what that name should be. So I'm really hoping for some good suggestions, Thanks -Alex

The name could be a distortion of cat bield meaning a shelter of the wild cat. Is written as Catbells or Cat Bells. A short but breath taking walk to the top gives very good views all round. Very popular and on a good weather day very busy. By far the best approach is by boat from Keswick to Hawse End and return the same way or if descending to Manesty continue the walk around the end of Derwentwater and back into Keswick. A grand day out.

This week Macro Mondays theme is ''The First Letter of My Name''. Since my name begins with the letter 'S', a few ideas came to mind. Anyhow, I hope you will like my ''Sweet Strawberries''. I always like mines with a hint of sugar.

Thank you everyone for your visits, faves, and kind comments.

Such as seating plans, if it weren't for my last name being Wen, i wouldn't have met certain people and become close to them. But because of my last name, i have.

As its name suggests, the red-eyed tree frog has red eyes with vertically narrowed pupils. It has a vibrant green body with yellow and blue, vertically striped sides. Its webbed feet and toes are orange or red. The skin on the red-eyed tree frog's belly is soft and fragile, whereas the back is thicker and rougher. Red-eyed tree frogs have sticky pads on their toes. They spend a majority of their lives in trees; they are excellent jumpers. Red-eyed tree frogs are not poisonous and rely on camouflage to protect themselves. During the day, they remain motionless, cover their blue sides with their back legs, tuck their bright feet under their bellies, and shut their red eyes. Thus, they appear almost completely green, and well hidden among the foliage.

Small unnamed arch on an unnamed ridge within a park and state (USA) that must not be named. I love finding these little gems that no one else pays attention to. This is not a very commercial approach, and I’m probably the worst business person in the world, 😂. People love photos of places they are familiar with, and that makes a lot of sense. I find that the places that are of the most interest to me are the ones that haven’t been photographed at night before, rather than the tourist spots (I’ve tried many of those also, lol). Anyway, here’s to all those remote places that no one cares about! 14-24 mm lens, 24 mm, f/2.8, 15 seconds, ISO 10,,000 (my Nikon D810A does remarkably well at high ISOs). Aptly named after Mount Potolaka, the sacred mountain abode of the Bodhisattva of Compassion, Avalokiteshvara, the Potala Palace has been identified in different ages as the residence of Tibet`s two illustrious and kingly emanations of Avalokiteshvara - Songtsen Gampo during the seventh century and the Fifth Dalai Lama during the 17th century. The building which towers above the city of Lhasa rises from the slopes of Mount Marpori, for which reason it is known locally as Tse Podrang "Summit Palace". The outer section, known as the White Palace has functioned as the traditional seat of government and the winter residence of the Dalai Lamas, while the inner section known as the Red Palace contains outstanding temples and the reliquary tombs of eight past Dalai Lamas. In terms of global perception, it is this relic of Tibet`s past, present, and future national aspiration which, more than any other, symbolizes the country of Tibet, like the great wall of China “Great Firewall of China” or the Vatican in Italy.

This 13-storeyed edifice was among the world`s tallest buildings prior to the advent of the 20th-century skyscraper, and undoubtedly the grandest building in Tibet.

The interior area of the 13-storeyed Potala Palace is 130.000 sq m. The building is 118 m high, 366 m from east to west, and 335 m from north to south. There are 1000 rooms housing approximately 200.000 images.

Traditinally the chapels of the Potala Palace were only open to the public on set days such as the fourth day of the sixth lunar month, and in the fourth lunar month. Now, in the absence of the Dalai Lama, it has the air of a (dead) museum, and is accessible throughout the week.

Chooli is a Navajo (Diné) girl's name meaning Mountain. The Navajo Nation occupies portions of northeastern Arizona, northwestern New Mexico, and southeastern Utah. The seat of government is located in Window Rock, Arizona. It is not at all uncommon to meet people with Navajo names here in Utah.

This particular mountain is called Timpanogos after the tribe that inhabited this part of Utah. In 1849 Mormon settlers invaded Utah Valley and established Fort Utah (now Provo) on the sacred grounds of the Timpanogos Fish Festival and near the Timpanogos village on Provo River. As you might guess it did not go well for the Timpanogos or for that mater, the Navajo either.

The name Manhattan derives from the word Manna-hata, as written in the 1609 logbook of Robert Juet, an officer on Henry Hudson's yacht Halve Maen (Half Moon). A 1610 map depicts the name as Manna-hata, twice, on both the west and east sides of the Mauritius River (later named the Hudson River). The word "Manhattan" has been translated as "island of many hills" from the Lenape language.

New York County is one of seven counties in the United States to share the same name as the state in which they are located. The others are Arkansas, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Oklahoma, and Utah counties.

The United States Postal Service prefers that mail addressed to Manhattan use "New York, NY" rather than "Manhattan, NY"

Named the bird, William, the conkerer! A bold and perky bird that often perches conspicuously, this one on a flat top rubbish bin, with a wind fall conker and shell, to give a great autumnal feel to it. The image was from my week in France. (My thanks to Graham, Hammerchewer!) for the name.
