It was hectic and messy. I was as busy as a bee. Look at my desktop. It's all full and blarghhhh..
Anyway all that's done now. Alhamdulillah praise be to Allah. :)
So I'll have about.........two weeks left before heading home. :D weehee! can't wait!
['but you must keep the dust down.']
This is a version of Turndust, an artist's book project I am currently working on. This is an early stage 'storyboard' version. I've posted it because I am interested in seing if I can use community on Flickr to add something to the design process. What do you think of it? What could be improved? What's good? What does it make you think about?
I'm planning to develop the book for screenprint in one or two colours with hand colouring in watercolour, so each book will be a little different, although still part of an edition. I plan to include new versions and working-up on Flickr as I go along.
Since this book is intended as a narrative, it's best read from beginning to end. I recommend looking at the set.
Thanks for any comments.
my old external harddrive has been giving me problems, so i had to get a new one. all my photos are stored in there, and you know how important it is NOT to lose all of that! so ... koosh.cher helped me to pick this one out. i think it'll do! ^_^
OS upgrades become incredibly difficult when one has a largely non-functional optical drive.
Things probably wouldn’t have been half so bad if I hadn’t managed to hose the Tiger install before getting Leopard to work.
In the end, my process looked like:
1) hook up internal DVD drive via external case
2) copy important files (applications & user settings) from internal drive to external backup via Terminal & Disk Utility
3) erase and install
4) pull information from backup
Carly's parents, doctors and many professionals in the field of education and therapy believed that Carly was not aware of her surroundings and what was going on in the world around her, BUT she was taking everything in and she finally found a way to communicate!! Wonderful, true story!
