Exposure was a problem but this guy was practically in my face and so with a few quick snaps i still got him in his springtime glory !

At first glance the very young Kelpie sheep dog appears to be doing her job mustering the sheep. However, she is actually blocking them from crossing the bridge, much to the frustration of my brother on the other side who, with the help of his other much more experienced dogs, was trying to get them across. The sheep did eventually get across and on to the woolshed where they were awaiting crutching, which I described in my previous photo. All was forgiven and my brother maintains that young Jezebel (her name) shows great promise. Not that morning though.

Weathered and withered ferns. The summer with its drought has been quite hard on the ferns and they withered much earlier. Now in autumn they lie on the ground and let guess their former beauty with bizarre shapes and patterns.
