Rich graduated from Temple University as a classical guitar performance major. He has been studying classical guitar privately since 2007. He attended private jazz studies and jazz improvisation studies with Benny Russell and Dr. Keith Kramer. Rich has been teaching guitar lessons since 2008. He is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Guitar Performance from Northern Illinois University. He teaches all levels, classical and blues.
We buy, sell, trade, and repair old and new guitars, amps, and accessories. Guitar setups start at $50. Music lessons (guitar, piano, bass) are $20 per half hour, private one-on-one instruction. First lesson for new students, with absolutely no obligation.

This summer the kids of the Baker-Ripley campus have learned Latin Percussion and explored international rhythms. They've experienced Cumbia, Salsa, Merengue and more!
Music teachers often face questions like "when should their child start with music lessons".
A recent PBS article suggests that within the first nine years of life, children have a unique “window of opportunity” that makes musical lessons valuable.
But, to be honest, the age of the child for learning any musical instrument is not an issue. Every single child is unique, and there is no formula or time period for the child to start with lessons like piano lessons, guitar lessons, violin lessons. Instead, the individual student should start learning music instrument when they grow curiosity for it and most importantly when they start enjoying music.

PDG Music Students and Instructors perform at Michelson Hall on the UWSP Campus. This recital represents the 30% of PDG students who were willing and available to perform at the time. The students had about 4-6 weeks to prepare... some longer some shorter.

Here is the newest painting that I'm working on. It is of a girl playing violin. The reference picture that I'm working off of is taken by Brian also known as Coltfan909. The painting is one of the biggest I've painted in a while the dimensions are 34 x 48 inches. I'm doing the painting for the Conservatory of the Ozarks in Chesterfield Village located in Springfield, MO. They teach piano, guitar, violin, and also have vocal lessons. They are showing artwork at the conservatory on December 18th so the painting has to be done with by then.

Cory recently graduated from the University of Miami-Frost School of Music, with an emphasis on Studio Music and Jazz. He has studied the saxophone privately since 2003. He has studied the clarinet and flute privately since 2005, and has studied jazz pedagogy since 2005. Cory has performed in numerous bands, including concert bands, jazz bands, funk bands and has played in musicals. He has won awards in Downbeat, the Monterey Jazz Festival, IMEA, the Rolling Meadows Jazz Festival and the North Shore Jazz Festival. He has been teaching saxophone lessons since 2009.
