The Murud Janjira Bullock Cart organization that holds the Bullock races are very devout law abiding animal loving folks .. the race is tradition , no gambling no betting pure Maratha pride and Mahrashtrian Asmita showcased for all.
The organizers volunteers race ahead of the bulls on the bikes iin front and on both the sides , other bikes following from the back and it is a clean neat race , first aid vet are all at hand .. any accident is well taken care of.. the Police to assist in the law order situation.
The crowds mostly Kolis are well behaved , but a few outsiders can get unruly and are duly checked .. sticks with nails if found are confiscated and the person booked , now there is no one with sticks , the bulls are highly respected revered here by the bull owners .
All in all its a peaceful race which starts at 4.30 pm and ends at about 6 pm .. than there is prize distribution I did not shoot this as I had to head home , luckily I was traveling back in the car of my friend Habib Nasser.
