ENCQ : The wind stinks (Du 25.07.26 au 25.10.26)
It is often said that an image is worth a thousand words. ENCQ plays with iconography, multiplying, juxtaposing, and recontextualising portraits and their associated symbols in order to highlight the most striking features of the figures he caricatures. Yet his work does not seek to distort reality, but rather to reveal a deeper truth within it. Like Lucian Freud, with whom he shares the idea that the painting is the person it represents, ENCQ transforms the image into a space of revelation rather than disguise.
The exhibition 'The wind stinks' by artist and critical observer ENCQ can be discovered from 25 July to 25 October 2026.
Presented alongside 'On the Beach' by photographer Pierre Radisic, this exhibition enters into dialogue with a proposition that invites visitors, in turn, to adopt a more poetic perspective on the world.

'On the Beach' is an exhibition dedicated to the work of Pierre Radisic, who explores the coastline through three photographic series, multiplying visual experiments and approaches.
Three series, three perspectives: 'Decisive Place' plays, with a certain constructivist sensibility, on the geometric coincidences between elements of the seaside landscape and the constructions that sometimes border it; 'Univerres' invites us to discover the sea and its sunlight through the intoxicating distortions of a wine glass; while 'Glass Stones' offers an almost psychedelic exploration of glass fragments polished by the force of the tides, scattered among grains of sand.
A resolutely summery exhibition that will brighten your gaze until 25 October 2026.
With the collaboration of Le Salon d'Art gallery, which generously lent us the prints from the 'Univerres' series. We would also like to thank La Pierre d'Alun editions for providing the publications dedicated to the series, available in our museum shop.
Presented alongside it, the exhibition 'The wind stinks' by stencil artist ENCQ offers a sharp critique of the Belgian political sphere.

Due to popular demand i am posting my first series of boys, playing volleyball on the beach of Patong, Phuket.
These pics have had minimal adjustment. i am quite pleased with the result. I am planning to make use of the archetypical movements of these models for some other projects.

BACKSTORY: Got up around 7:15AM, made it out driving by 7:51 AM and went out until around 1:30PM for a total of 5 hours, 39 minutes. Spent $73.00 plus ~$7.98 gas for 41 miles of driving (15.1 mpg @ $2.94/G), for a total cost of $80.98. We drove to 64 yard sales, stopping at 22 (34%) of them. We made 49 purchases (50 items) for a total estimated value of $743.64, leading to a profit/savings of $662.66. So in essence, we multiplied our $80.98 investment by 9.18X. (Also, if you think about it, the profit counts for even more when you consider that we have to earn $~755 on the job, pre-tax, in order to take home the $662 in cash that we saved. How long does $662 of disposable income take to earn, vs the 5.65 hrs we spent here?) Anyway, this works out to a *post-tax* "wage" of $117.29/hr as a couple or $58.64/hr per person.

Trying to hide but peeping out to have a look.
On a side note, I created this image one night this week. Dinner was my responsibility on this night.
After consulting the cookbook and toying with the idea of cooking some vegetables (albeit the frozen variety) and BBQ'ing a couple of steaks, I ended up with toasted sandwiches...
Maybe this is enough evidence to prove that men cannot multitask? The idea of having to cook steak the SAME TIME as the vegies was just too much...

Toronto Animal Services' small animal room (where my daughter volunteers) is full to bursting at the moment. There are 10 rabbits who need homes, plus a guinea pig. This is especially bad because Easter (notorious for rabbit dumping in the aftermath) is next weekend! So we're assaulting you with cuteness.
Fred & George (above) have been at the shelter for SIX MONTHS. The poor brothers were abandoned in an apartment when their owners moved out. They are super-friendly and cuddly and are getting tired of being at the shelter.
While in Chicago attending school, I would get up early in the morning to walk....not to a bus stop....just walking with my camera... for the exercise...This morning I get to go home.....back to Utah....
I just solve the problem for a busy shift at the hospital!
One for acute transfers, one for codes and traumas, one for staffing, one for complains, one for doing rounding one for PR..... cool!
Wait a minute....oh man! I need another clone..... darn...
