i really want to learn how to do the crazy editing. like, i just cant explain. there is so much inspiration here on flickr its rediculous, all i want to do is sit at home and play around on photoshop. but im so limited with elements 6.0, this will do for now.
I'm pretty satisfied with this photo, because it's really close to the idea that I've been carrying on for a long time.
Because of my bad luck, my camera now is broken, and I'm afraid about how to go on with this project. Maybe I'll take something with my analog camera but it will be more difficult so hfdsjkfnj (Yeps, here comes the anxiety)
My entry for Flickr Friday #multiply. This is one of my students who was willing to demonstrate multiplication in science class just for this photo. Taken at Rockfish Hoke Elementary School in Rockfish, North Carolina in Hoke County.

"The Monreale cathedral and its cloister represent the largest concentration of Norman, Arab and Byzantine art in one place. True, Palermo's cathedral is larger, but Monreale's exists in something far closer to its original twelfth-century state. This wondrous place is much more than "just another church." If your impression of the overused word multicultural is at all negative, the effect of Monreale Abbey will convert you to another way of thinking.
Attached to the cathedral, the Benedictine cloister courtyard consists of 228 columns (paired, with four on each corner), some inlayed with Byzantine-style mosaic work, each supporting an ornately carved capital. The capitals themselves depict scenes in Sicily's Norman history, complete with knights and kings.
The capitals strongly reflect the Provencal styles of the twelfth century.
Carved into the capitals of the columns are all manner of Biblical figures, mythological scenes, quasi-heraldic elements, Arab warriors and Norman knights, as well as floral motifs and fauna."

I got home late last night from TN and I'm really tired. Leaving for the beach tomorrow. So I think I know now why I haven't been able to get any jobs around here and it feels GREAT!!!!!!

I've always loved double exposures on film cameras and had wanted to try some again, but with being limited in time to take and process film images with my 365 I decided to play around with it in photoshop. This is made up of overlayed images from last month in Scotland and a shot I took out driving today. It's growing on me and I had fun with it :)
We use the word peacock to refer to the entire species, but the correct name for the pheasant is peafowl. Peafowl are native to India, Southeast Asia and Central Africa -- not the U.S., although there is a large, growing population in Florida. All it takes is for a few birds to escape captivity, and they will quickly breed and multiply.
Peacocks are the colorful male peafowl. They have iridescent blue and green tail feathers, with blue, green, red and gold "eye" markings that drag behind them as they walk in a colorful "train." The tail is arched into a large, round fan during a mating ritual or courtship display. Females are called peahens, and they're typically muted brown or green.
I found this one walking around at Gatorland in Orlando, Florida.

I was headed for a spot just five minutes' drive away, but it ended up taking me 45 minutes to get there because I spotted this Red-shouldered Hawk along the way! I think they're not particularly rare, although they're uncommon this far north in winter, and we just don't get to see them very often, much less right in my own neighbourhood! I wasn't able to get very close due to the terrain and lack of cover, but I wanted to share my sighting with my family and friends. It was exciting!

Two hooded figures stand next to an old brick wall held up by the old roots of a forest fig tree and ivy that climb as if they were part of the lifting of a curtain on a stage where everything echoes and can be heard.
An ancient carved figure seems to witness this encounter and hear it as if it were a timeless secret. The Wall of Whispers or the Wall of Roots as the Green Monks of Elche call it has been whispering ancient languages that few know - Anno eodhyn ed neoth goahn... ed grodeon darghum Asther ! - Don't wake those who sleep... in the black caves of Asther !
The ancient community of the mystical forest of Krudhyn knows that something moves through the mists as if a dark secret from the past wants to burst into this uncertain present. The sounds and whispers multiply like cold breezes brought by the north wind along the paths of the ancient forest that surround the White Mountain and make men's skin crawl.
- We need to warn Lady Guardian, the signs multiply and something moves but does not reveal itself...
