Week 08/52 - Multiply
For the Teleidoscope Project week 8, multiply.
I know I'm uploading this a day earlier than I would normally, but I'm out all day tomorrow so I thought I may as well just upload it today.
It's been such a tense, long week and I'm so glad it's the weekend!
In case you didn't already recognise my teddy bear, this is Dou-Dou (A French thing although I think it's actually spelt differently) He is the best teddy in the whole world!
Just a quickie.
Press 'L' it looks annoying small
Photo Manipulation from Picsart's Daily Re-Mix Challenge. Original photo was a plain B&W of the lady laying down. Some holga effect, vignette, and hue adjustments turned it into a decent abstract-ish photo

The images I have selected for my digital portfolio showcase a variety of skills that I am constantly building upon. The first project included is a leather bag project which was sponsored by Cordwainers. This project was influenced by mirroring cut up fruit and vegetables to create unusual compositions. My end product had the concept of a two in one bag. The idea of removing an ‘outer shell’ backpack for day wear to reveal a clutch style bag for night time use. My overall project was awarded highly commended by Cordwainers.
I participated in an intensive one week hand embroidery masterclass at Dumfries House. This fast paced project taught me how to research, develop, produce a final hand embroidered scarf and hold an exhibition in a short time frame.
Research and location drawing at the Botanic Gardens inspired my print project titled, ‘Geometric Bloom’. My all over screen printed designs feature a monochrome colour palette which contrasts well with the intensity of the pattern. I took these designs in to photoshop to create ideas for fashion.
The project I am working on currently is a self directed drawing project. I have experimented with unconventional drawing styles while gaining inspiration from the mechanics of clocks. I have also included location drawing. I researched the public clocks found around Glasgow and timed myself with these clocks while drawing the location that surrounds them. I explored shutter speed photography to create the idea of movement and the passing of time.
