The premise behind this was that it's Thursday night I think and I'm off to see Iron Man 3 with Brendon and there's people just coming out from the Great Gatsby premiere and they're dressed to the 9's while I have a flanno on.
But this is just such a damned lazy photo and I hate it and I hate today. The burn out has finally got to me. It's time to straighten out and have a bloody crack. I've sat and looked at this photo for so long and how to make it better but there's no point - it's shit and I hate it.
This photo is going to drive me to new heights with the project. I haven't taken the 149 preceding with effort to take shit like this. Sorry for anyone reading this, I will make sure this doesn't happen again.

being a macro composite i had to adjust focus for each one of the nine separate images to get the entire creature in focus (mostly). the lens i used is the cheap Olympus kit zoom lens, the 14-42mm reversed with a reversing ring. magnification and fine focussing is done by adjusting the zoom ring and moving the camera to and from the subject. i'm not sure what the magnification is but it's at least than 1:1 for these images. as there is no electronic connection between the lens and camera there's no aperture control so the aperture is fully open.
the photos were then thrown into photoshop elements and put together in the Photomerge app of the program.

A multiplex, tucked into the same sort of highrise buildings as everything else. It was unclear how much of the building was the multiplex. I would've loved to find out whether those were apartments or offices up above it—or just a facade to disguise more theaters?
