On Tuesday, August 3rd, 2021 at approximately 3 pm, emergency services in the Town of Lincoln were dispatched to a reported motor vehicle collision with multiple patients trapped on the QEW Buffalo-bound/EB between Victoria Avenue in Vineland and Jordan Road (Jordan). First arriving units encountered a two vehicle collision between a car and a minivan with several patients trapped in the van; with one patient that suffered critical injuries. It took nearly an hour to fully extricate the trapped patients, with multiple firefighters and paramedics working to access the injured. An air ambulance from Ornge attended the scene and transported the most critical patient to an out of town trauma centre; while three other patients were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Lincoln Fire Rescue, Niagara EMS, OPP, and Ornge all attended this call. The collision resulted in a full highway closure for several hours while crews worked the scene.

Chispitas, now called MacroVital, is a multiple micronutrient powder used in Guatemala to help prevent micronutrient deficiencies, including iron deficiency anemia. Each sachet contains a powdered mix of vitamin A, vitamin C, folic acid, iron, and zinc which is sprinkled on to a child’s first foods to improve his or her nutritional intake.
In 2007, the Micronutrient Initiative, with funding from the Izumi Foundation, provided more than 20,000 children in three districts of Alta Verapaz with Chispitas. The success of this pilot project has provided the impetus and leveraged Government of Guatemala resources needed for wider scale-up. The project was expanded to the rest of the province in 2008. Resources from development and cooperation agencies and government departments are mobilized for national scale-up which began in 2009.

View of the lighthouse's multiple lights. The 6th order Fresnel lens can be seen in the background on the left side.
Built in 1896. The octagonal wooden tower is painted red and built into one end of a 2 story keeper's house. A 6th order Fresnel lens is the main light source although several other lights are also in use. The light signal is either white or green, depending on direction and is shown 3 seconds on and 3 seconds off. The pyramidal tower was added in 1839 and later modified in 1859, and was repaired after it was damaged in WWII.
Located in Kadrioru Park in Tallinn. In concert with the the rear range lighthouse it defines the main channel into Tallinn harbor.
