Let’s take a journey to the wondrous Eastern Asian country of Japan. Here we can explore a multifaceted culture made up of thousand-year-old traditions as well as rapidly changing modern fads, fashion, and technology. For this theme, you must show us how your doll(s) is inspired by either traditional or modern Japanese culture. Is your doll modeling a couture kimono and kanzashi or a colorful kawaii street style ensemble for a fashion shoot? Is your doll a food critic in search of the Japanese restaurant with the most authentic and delectable sushi and sashimi? Or perhaps your doll(s) prefers Asian-inspired décor such as shoji screens, paper lanterns, and silk wall scrolls to decorate his/her home. More inspiration can be found with meditation areas with Zen gardens, chimes, mini fountains, and Buddha statues! How you approach this theme is entirely up to you. Just be sure to show us a piece of Japanese culture in your photo.

All my Asian dolls insisted on doing this job but finally LD Kyori got it – I like how her hair colour matches with the kimono.

The Saltborn Sentinel

Under the relentless glare of twin suns, the salt flats stretched for miles in every direction—a white abyss shimmering with heatwaves. It was here, amid the brittle crust of ancient mineral deposits, that Dr. Anara Rhee’s expedition uncovered something never seen before.

At first, it seemed like another crystallized formation, just one of countless salt towers rising from the desolate landscape. But then, it moved.

A sharp click echoed across the flats as six articulated legs unfurled from the glistening shell. The creature stood—an angular specter, its body composed entirely of crystalline salt, refracting light like living glass. It turned toward Anara, peering with multifaceted eyes that seemed to hold a strange, knowing intelligence.

She held her breath. This was no ordinary life form—this was something ancient, perhaps something formed by the very land itself.

Was it a guardian of the flats? A long-lost relic of an extinct ecosystem? As she reached out, it twitched, then emitted a low, oscillating hum that vibrated through her bones. It wasn’t afraid.

It was communicating.

And in that moment, Anara realized: she was the first to witness a species not born of flesh and blood, but of minerals and time. A sentinel of the salt, watching—and waiting.

A dragonfly is an insect belonging to the order Odonata, suborder Anisoptera (from Greek ανισος anisos "uneven" + πτερος pteros, "wings", because the hindwing is broader than the forewing). Adult dragonflies are characterized by large multifaceted eyes, two pairs of strong transparent wings, sometimes with coloured patches, and an elongated body. Dragonflies can be mistaken for the related group, damselflies (Zygoptera), which are similar in structure though usually lighter in build; however, the wings of most dragonflies are held flat and away from the body, while damselflies hold the wings folded at rest, along or above the abdomen. Dragonflies are agile fliers while damselflies have a weaker, fluttery flight. Many dragonflies have brilliant iridescent or metallic colours produced by structural coloration, making them conspicuous in flight. An adult dragonfly eye has nearly 24,000 ommatidia.

Dragonflies are predators, both in their aquatic larval stage, when they are known as nymphs or naiads, and as adults. Several years of their life are spent as a nymph living in freshwater; the adults may be on the wing for just a few days or weeks. They are fast agile fliers, sometimes migrating across oceans, and are often but not always found near water.

Photography for me is a whole philosophy that I comprehend.

This is the art that inspires me.

It's my favorite thing to do, and I'm happy that I'm doing photography.

"Handling the camera properly" is only half the point, it's important to "feel the person to get the gist.

Real and deep.

To convey something more, multifaceted emotions in the frame, which later with each glance will refer to those very moments: for example, to the touch of a loved one's hands.️ the person, the gentle gaze of the parents, the tremulous feeling of happiness…

A real time machine!

Enjoy yourself with photo shoots, save priceless memories as often as possible!

There are 2 free windows left in December.

No credits in this one, but for me and alot of people we lost a hero on the 28th of August. Chadwick Boseman, most know him as T'Challa from the Black Panther movie, I know him also from Da 5 Bloods, Marshall, Get on up, & 42, some of my fave movies he played in. And if you just know him ONLY from Black Panther that's ok, but I highly reccoment you check out some of his other movies as well! He was a multitalented, multifaceted speaker, intelligent, just an awe inspiring man to me..and many people within the black community.

I know me, personally, as a HUGE Marvel fan, seeing him up on the big screen during my life time (excluding blade, he was for a different generation than mine) It was amazing!! And so many kids seeing him up there, it was probably the greatest thing, to see that representation in their life time, and other representations than just the stereotypical "black criminal" or "Black slave" or what have you. Watching many of his movies from the perspective of a black person I got to see and learn the history of a Black lawyer, the life of an ICONIC black soul singer, as a veteran myself I got to see another look into the lives of black soldiers, and the trials and tribulations of one of the most prolific baseball players in black history as well.

Chadwick Boseman battled colon cancer for 4 years after his diagnosis of the disease in 2016.. only his family knew about it..no one else.. he visited children hospitals of other kids who had cancer, and were terminal, listened to their stories, and wanted to make them proud, because they loved him, and were inspired by him, the same way I was, and still am. I can only imagine, or maybe you can, if you've ever had a love one have cancer, or pass from it, it's not easy..there are some good days, bad days.. and even worst days.. but he never gave up, and he kept fighting til his last breath. My deepest and sincerest condolences to his family and friends closest to him. This year has been rough, but...when one flame goes out.. another takes its place, the marathon continues... R.I.P Chadwick Boseman Gone but NEVER forgotten ✊💖🌈

Portrait of the head of the Olympian Hermes (plaster cast) as the Good Shepherd. Hermes used to be a multifaceted divinity and a lot of his iconography has rubbed off to the image of Jesus Christ. Hermes is often reduced to the figure of Mercurius (as the messenger/"angelos" of Zeus and in support of trade and business), but he is much more important as the shepherd of man and the conductor of souls into (and sometimes out of) the Underworld. In that capacity, Hermes has survived - inside Christianity. One daylight LED and four LED spotlights, processed in Fujifilm's raw converter and macOS High Sierra photo editor.

I took this pic with my Sigma 70mm - 300mm zoom lens with macro function. The dragonfly was about 2 metres from the camera. This is about 9.4% of the original image, but as I use a Canon 5DS with a 50.5 megapixel sensor I am still left with a relatively good image.

The Architecture Of Knowledge - The Foundations Of The Spiritual Force

Knowledge Architecture is a construction or system that allows us to connect all the elements or data, as if they were bricks or boards, scattered randomly, and transform them into a powerful, understandable, constructive and solid tool so that we can help us make effective decisions that support us in resolving problems or choosing priorities that we have to make on our journey as thinking beings.

This Knowledge Architecture thus incorporates a multidimensional, multifaceted and multifunctional constructive image patiently constructed through the collection, analysis, experimentation, creation and subsequent dissemination of knowledge through different means of communication.

This general and specific knowledge is fundamental and one of the essential foundations to sustain and strengthen our Spiritual Force to transcend our horizons beyond the knowledge of ourselves as material beings.

While it would be hard to run out of floodlit buildings to shoot in the centre of Dublin, you end up with an amount of infinity if you include the multiple angles from which each of these can be captured.

While the original Christ Church dates from c1030, most of what's visible from the outside comes from the Norman and Reformation periods. The bridge you can see here, though, was only constructed in the 1870's and was designed to connect the cathedral to the recently built Synod Hall, just to the left.

One more angle on an ancient, multifaceted, building. 360 degrees brings with it an awful lot of options!

This picture is a lesson in polyamory. We are not a poly group, but a group of poly minded people who play together. Swingers and people who understand the capacity to love more.

That's what polyamory is.

According to Wikipedia,

Polyamory (from Greek πολύ poly, "many, several", and Latin amor, "love") is the practice of, or desire for, intimate relationships with more than one partner, with the informed consent of all partners involved. It has been described as "consensual, ethical, and responsible non-monogamy".

I'm Ame, the one with purple hair. I'm engaged and partnered to my sexy Vince, and married to my lovely wife Bethannie. Sometimes Vince and I share her. Sometimes not. Sometimes she shares me with the yummy Lawhurr men, Mith and Nauti. Sometimes I share her with Rich, who is also close to my heart. Cordie is a special addition to the pile, and I share her with the men in my life. She brought Stella into our lives.

The point of all of this is that not every poly family is the same. Not every poly relationship is about a harem under one leader. Not all rules are cut and dried. Like so many things, relationships of any sort are multifaceted things, and need to be nurtured and cared for properly.

Only the people in a relationship get to have judgement on the status of that relationship. If they're happy, that's not your concern. I'm happy. I'm pretty sure the people in my life are happy.

Polyamory is like monogamy in one very important way... Either you're okay with it, or you're not. Don't try to force yourself into the mold being suggested by others. Find what fits you, what makes you happy, and go with it.

Loss of wetland habitat threatens dragonfly populations around the world. Dragonflies are represented in human culture on artefacts such as pottery, rock paintings and Art Nouveau jewellery. They are used in traditional medicine in Japan and China, and caught for food in Indonesia. They are symbols of courage, strength and happiness in Japan, but seen as sinister in European folklore. Their bright colours and agile flight are admired in the poetry of Alfred, Lord Tennyson and the prose of H. E. Bates.

About 3012 species of dragonfly were known in 2010; these are classified into 348 genera in 11 families.

A dragonfly is a type of insect belonging to the order Odonata, the suborder Epiprocta or, in the strict sense, the infraorder Anisoptera. It is characterized by large multifaceted eyes, two pairs of strong transparent wings, and an elongated body. Dragonflies are similar to damselflies, but the adults can be differentiated by the fact that the wings of most dragonflies are held away from, and perpendicular to, the body when at rest. Even though dragonflies possess 6 legs like any other insect, they are not capable of walking.

Dragonflies are valuable predators that eat mosquitoes, and other small insects like flies, bees, ants, and butterflies. They are usually found around lakes, ponds, streams and wetlands because their larvae, known as "nymphs", are aquatic.

Sacred well of Tattinu (period between 1300 to 900 before Christ)

The well of Tattinu differs from the other nuragic wells due to the absence of visible structures and the vestibule. Another peculiarity is the linear continuity of the staircase (28-29 steps) and of the water compartment that together form a rectangular void 8.12 m long and 1.25-1.10 wide. The "bottle" section of the well, elliptical in plan (1.82 mx 1.25 height 5.12 m), also differentiates it from the well temples of Sardinia. The internal masonry is multifaceted. Among the ex-votos found in the chapel, all in ceramic, we remember some ollas-necked ollettes, ovoid ollette with flat edge, pot-bellied vases with an inverted elbow handle, two-sided keeled bowls and edged bowls, referable to the final Bronze Age, and some pyriform vases with ornate hatching.

Artist: Vasil Berela

From the catalogue:

"It's easy to be impressed by Vasil Berela's installation "Amazement". A superficial glance reveals a technical prowess, competing with the 70s hyper-realistic figures. But that is not at all what intrigues him, the technique is always only a tool. Alike his paintings where complicated perspective elements unsettle the viewer's spatial confidence, the figure in his installation, sitting at the table like a counterpart installation, poses a question about our identity.
