Valley will be a real eye-catcher thanks to its daring and individualistic architecture. The building, whose flourishing patios create a striking green ‘facade-landscape’, will accommodate offices, residences and facilities. It will be located on Beethovenstraat, opposite ABN AMRO and next to Sportpark Goed Genoeg (AFC).
Valley helps to fulfil the municipality’s desire to develop a multifaceted city district for people to live, work and visit. From the ground floor to the seventh floor, the building will accommodate offices, cultural facilities, retail, catering facilities and access to the residential towers. The residential section – starting on the eighth floor – will feature 196 apartments varying in size from 55m² to 700m², practically all of which will be for rent.
The main feature of the design is the overwhelming abundance of greenery, which combines with the stone finishing to give it the look and feel of an exuberant green valley. The courtyard garden – situated on the lower storeys of the building and accessible to all – amplifies this effect even further. The different levels of the courtyard garden are linked by staircases. source: zuidas.nl/en/project/valley/

"Zurich's Medieval houses, contorted, narrow lanes and guild and town halls from the Renaissance period offer an attractive backdrop for world-class entertainment. Just a little something silly for the weekend.
When we tow our trailer we have an extended mirror which created cool reflections.
Have an awesome weekend!!
Enwined in the mysterious and bodeful darkness of the night, every sound is only memory.
Every thought, however, a faint whisper that makes its way, high-spirited or diffidently, into the nocturnal tranquility.
Every step out into its depths a new adventure.
The light here is of a different nature. It shines and leads in a most pure way.
There is no need to shine bright, no force necessary to be seen.
Light is precious here, in all its variations, adored and protected.
We carry it, in many lanterns, over rivers and mountains, to find and light paths, to show the way and give comfort.
Through the dark and gloom of obscurity.
And only when Eos arises in her shimmering chariot, we wave from afar and return into our multifaceted chambers.
For as the guardians of the night we work in the shades and rest in the light.

Vasil Berela: Staunen
Installation 2021
(Katalog, Dr. Matthias Bleyl)
Vasil Berela: Amazement
installation 2021
epoxy resin, metallised and mirrored, oil, chair, table, life-size
Alike his paintings where complicated perspective elements unsettle the viewer's spatial confidence, the figure in his installation, sitting at the table like a counterpart installation poses a question about our identity. Its mirror-like gleam only reflects the surrounding space and the four faces can, quite literally, represent the complexity of an individual. A truly amazing multifaceted complexity - transparent, semi-transparent, opaque and, finally, the supposedly authentic face - that never reveals the complete personality but shows us only the surface layer. (Catalogue, Art historian Dr. Matthais Bleyl)
Scott Hamilton: All the things you are
I have always been fascinated by the unique aspect of this succulent plant, the Pachyphytum compactum, whose shape resembles a geological rather than a biological occurrence. Its leaves look like polished precious gems. Hence the nicknames of diamond plant or diamond succulent. I don't usually see it often in collections. The following is some interesting information about the diamond succulent, plus cultivation tips.
Pachyphytum compactum originates in the states of Hidalgo and Querétaro, in Mexico. It is a succulent belonging to the family Crassulaceae, whose most famous characteristic is the organization of its leaves in the form of a rosette.
In the case of the diamond succulent, or diamond plant, the appearance of stone rose is replaced by the appearance of diligently cut gemstones. Its main characteristic is the formation of dense rosettes composed of elongated, cylindrical leaves and with the ends in warheads, such as small zeppelins. These succulent structures are densely interwoven and resemble multifaceted crystals.
However, care must be taken. Depending on the cultivation conditions, as you will see below, the diamond succulent may lose this compact aspect, which refers to a geological outcrop of precious stones. The more light the plant receives, the better it will look in this regard.
The very thick leaves of the diamond plant are a characteristic of the genus Pachyphytum, whose name is derived from the Greek words pachys, which means coarse and phyton, plant. Among the succulents, these species have the fattest leaves.
The coloring of the leaves of the diamond plant is another spectacle apart. It varies according to the exposure to sunlight, but it is between shades of green and gray, with bluish nuances, always in pastel tones, with the vertices of the whitest polyhedra. In general, the diamond succulent appears to have been covered with a fine translucent powder. It is a waxy substance called pruine, which usually covers the leaves of many succulents, mainly from the Crassulaceae family. In addition, when exposed to high levels of luminosity, the tips of the leaves of Pachyphytum compactum can take on a beautiful red color, tending to wine.
The cultivation of Pachyphytum compactum does not differ much from most succulent plants. The diamond succulent can be exposed to direct sunlight, but tolerates a half shade, as long as it has a lot of indirect light. If the light is insufficient, the diamond plant tends to fester, losing its compactness. In this case, it grows rapidly, in search of more light, becoming thin and long. Neck-plant jargon is usually used for this situation.
Growers often use radical pruning, popularly called decapitation, to repair the appearance of overgrown succulents so that they become more compact. Just cut the top of the diamond plant, wait a day for the cut to heal, and plant it separately. The beheaded segment will continue its development, emitting new shoots. In addition to the aesthetic issue, this is a good option to multiply the diamond succulent. After this procedure of drastic pruning, the plant should be kept in a more shaded place, until it takes root properly. After this period, she should return to a well-lit place. Otherwise, there is a risk that the plant will fester again.

Reflections in the multifaceted Dr Chau Chak Wing Building on the campus of the University of Technology Sydney.
A dragonfly is an insect belonging to the order Odonata, infraorder Anisoptera (from Greek ἄνισος anisos, "unequal" and πτερόν pteron, "wing", because the hindwing is broader than the forewing). Adult dragonflies are characterized by large, multifaceted eyes, two pairs of strong, transparent wings, sometimes with coloured patches, and an elongated body. Dragonflies can be mistaken for the related group, damselflies (Zygoptera), which are similar in structure, though usually lighter in build; however, the wings of most dragonflies are held flat and away from the body, while damselflies hold their wings folded at rest, along or above the abdomen. Dragonflies are agile fliers, while damselflies have a weaker, fluttery flight. Many dragonflies have brilliant iridescent or metallic colours produced by structural colouration, making them conspicuous in flight. An adult dragonfly's compound eyes have nearly 24,000 ommatidia each.
The Busó festivities at Mohács in southern Hungary are a six-day carnival in late February to mark the end of winter, named for the busós, frightening-looking costumed people (traditionally men) wearing wooden masks and big woolly cloaks. The festival is multifaceted, including a children’s costume contest, a display of the art of mask carvers and other craftspeople, the arrival of more than 500 busós in rowboats on the Danube for a march through the city alongside horse-drawn or motorized fantasy vehicles, the burning of a coffin symbolizing winter on a bonfire in the central square, and feasts and music throughout the city. The tradition originated with the Croatian minority in Mohács, but today the busó is a general emblem of the city. The arts underlying the festivities are preserved by self-organized groups of busós of all cultural backgrounds, many of whom pass on the techniques of mask carving and ritual celebration to younger generations.
The sculpture is actually called 'Neighbours' (2001) and the sculptor is Joe Rosenthal. Today I went shopping. As I parked the car, I noticed 2 women outside leaning on their shopping carts in similar fashion. When I came back from the store, they were still there, still posing for Joe Rosenthal, but he was not there to record it. I did not pull out my camera, as I did not want to be voyeuristic, intrusive and predatory. Multifaceted artist Joseph Rosenthal was born in Kishinev and died in Toronto in 2018 at age 97. The lab is a place of experimentation, fruitful crossings of organisms and new ideas.
LabOvo, the nerve center of the Cosmopolitan Culture Park, is at the same time a place of rest for the walker with its panoramic terrace. Abyss
—James W. Underhill-
Pascal abhorred the abyss but it hounded at his heals.
The gulf gulps words, desires, actions and dreams.
While my hair stands on end each woeful time
The wind gropes through it with its silent screams.
Above, below, about me, the great empty depth.
A silence latches onto me and won't let me break loose,
While God drafts my nightmares with his skillful pen,
Multifaceted nightmares that know no truce.
I'm scared to fall into the gaping hole of sleep.
What horrors does it hold in its pitch black pit?
Infinity lurks below. Through each window it peeps
While vertigo is stalking me and my jittery spirit.
I long to lose all feeling and embrace nothingness
Where Beings and Numbers leave me to peaceful bliss.

congedandoti fino all'indomani...
e struccare quel beffardo viso
sfaccettati in identità mascheranti realtà.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
A number to gather smiles and applause
another ... to fill the unstitched pocket of a few pennies,
raise your hat and bow to your audience
taking your leave until the next day ...
And the time has come to go home ...
and remove that mocking face
to be able to recognize himself
in the split reflection of the mirror,
street clown dressed in sad joviality
to hide the lump of a lump in the throat ...
Paint your path as a perfect traveler
cheering up those you meet by chance
and the kids want to kiss your cheeks
albeit stuck with a greasepaint too often ...
A caress for everyone, a tight grimace between the lips ...
clenched like a clenched fist,
inside you a suit recites on the proscenium of truth.
Acrobat is life on the swing of thoughts
swinging on a cloud,
beyond an unknown horizon
we reveal ourselves without ever knowing who we are ...
multifaceted in identity masking reality.

Mejía Oe4-45 and García Moreno
In the heart of the historic center, in the important urban area of Calle Mejía, it is located in one of the tallest buildings of the old hull and is located in Vista Hermosa: a beautiful viewpoint of colonial Quito. From the terrace to the air free the hall with the windows, one can observe the main monuments, historic buildings and majestic churches with its domes, impressive at any time of day.

The way to highlight the history and beauty of the Historic Center of Quito will motivate you to use a real estate purchased a few years ago to turn it into a restaurant-mirador. The unique iconic location in Mejía, between Garcia Moreno and Venezuela, belonged to the multifaceted businessman Antonio Granda Centeno.
Its owner, Rodrigo Espinosa, thinks that the idea was not free:
“You have the opportunity to travel a lot and the last time you were in the world of Japan, I realize that most restaurants are located on the top floors.”
In the year 2005 this ambitious project in the heart of the historic center. We have pioneered the use of the terrace and undertake an important investment with the aim of creating a unique environment within the greater and better preserved historic center of South America.
The experience begins when one of the most ancient lifts of the city transports us to a place that fuses the perfection of its historical enclave and the exquisite gastronomy. A spectacular view of the Historic Center delights our foreign and foreign visitors.
In 2012, this eternal intention to rescind our history we will grow, so we seek a place that allows us to look from another perspective to our majestic city. That is why, a minute search is managed by an immovable in the Itchimbia sector.
The location allows you to admire the historic center of Quito this time in a panoramic way.
Vista Hermosa's gastronomic offer has a varied menu of food, drinks and cocktails together with its coffee shop section.
For today's theme, I wanted to create this spectacular set of dice with multifaceted shapes, used for role-playing games, highlighting the number "3", which for Pythagorean philosophers was considered the perfect number. It was also used as a symbolic function by poets. For example, in the epic poem Divine Comedy by the great Dante Alighieri, the number "3" emerges as a symbol of structural and allusive perfection.

MANY FACES
2019
Murals tend to show a town’s flair for the arts and culture. It is a great opportunity to put forth street side imagery that the community can enjoy but also reflect upon as to what it says about not only the artists living within the community but also their experience.
Jac wanted to bring the idea of “Many Faces” to showcase an intricate expression of the area. She believes St. Thomas to be a multifaceted town that caters to small business, community, arts and culture. This is a town that has many faces, both literally and metaphorically.
St. Thomas is diverse in many aspects as well as inclusive to all members of the community. When she thinks of this town she thinks of the “Many Faces” that intricately come together to make it a supportive and charming place to live.
What comes in threes? Traffic lights. And what are these strange traffic lights? Tiny buttons. Who buys buttons like these? My mum in the 1970s!
For Macro Mondays theme of "Three". HMM!

Dragonflies are predators, both in their aquatic larval stage, when they are known as nymphs or naiads, and as adults. Several years of their life are spent as a nymph living in freshwater; the adults may be on the wing for just a few days or weeks. They are fast agile fliers, sometimes migrating across oceans, and are often but not always found near water.
Henry Moore's sculpture "Reclining Figure" is joined by the newly installed (and temporary) colorful sculptures of artist Amanda Phingbodhipakkiya.
"Islands In The Sea" is described by the artist
"I created nine sculptures because in Thai the word for nine, gâo (เก้า), is a homonym for moving forward, gâo nà (ก้าว หน้า). It’s a reminder that, while grief never fully leaves us, we can soften its edges. Each sculpture is rounded, textured, and undulating, just like the organic nature of the sorrow living within us.
The entire process of making Islands in the Sea, of placing thousands of beads onto those sculptures, reflects the effortful journey of healing from trauma. I hope when people see the layered intricacies of the work, they can feel the multifaceted nature of grief on these landscapes."
The Blue Mosque's historical and architectural significance, as well as its cultural and religious importance, make it a central attraction in Istanbul. The inclusion of the mosque in the UNESCO World Heritage Site list underscores its value in preserving and showcasing the rich history of Istanbul.
The mosque's distinctive features, such as the central dome, semi-domes, courtyard, and minarets, reflect the classical Ottoman architectural style. The interior adorned with Iznik tiles and floral motifs in shades of blue adds a unique and visually stunning aspect to the mosque, earning it the popular name "Blue Mosque."
The strategic location of the Blue Mosque, situated across from the Hagia Sophia and near the former Hippodrome, creates a historical and cultural ensemble, making this area a focal point for tourists and visitors interested in exploring the rich heritage of Istanbul.
The inclusion of Ahmed I's tomb, a madrasa, and other structures within the mosque's külliye further contributes to its significance as a religious complex, showcasing the multifaceted aspects of Ottoman architecture and cultural practices.
Overall, the Blue Mosque stands as a testament to the grandeur and artistry of the Ottoman Empire, inviting both worshippers and tourists to appreciate its architectural magnificence and historical importance.
Animal Stories in Imagined Landscapes (Israel Pavilion)
Description: "The exhibition LAND. MILK. HONEY. examines the reciprocal relations between humans, animals, and the environment within the Israeli context. Our point of departure is the biblical imagery of milk and honey as a metaphor for plenitude, and its construction in practice as a Zionist project of modernisation. The exhibition focuses on five animals, domesticated and wild, each representing the multifaceted narrative of the introduction of modernity to the Levant. Through five case studies - cows, goats, honey bees, water buffaloes, and bats — we construct a spatial history of a place in five acts: Mechanisation; Territory; Cohabitation; Extinction; and Post-Human."

Beschreibung: "Die Ausstellung LAND. MILK.

Bebris Tsikhe is an early medieval fortress in Georgia in the historical region of Kartli, Mtskheta. It situated on the right bank of the river Aragvi, on the north of Mtskheta. In ancient time the fortress was called ″Belti″. Vakhushti Bagrationi calls it ″Beltistsikhe″. The fortress was built to protect Mtskheta and Tbilisi from the north, from the side of the Greater Caucasus Range.
The fortress naturally fits into the landscape, built to imitate a continuation of the mountain. The walls, over 2 m thick, are built with almost equal-size stones. The fortress has two levels: citadel and the lower courtyard. The citadel has a triangular shape. Three towers were erected at each corner of the triangle. The eastern tower originally had square shape, but it was destroyed and rebuilt in 18th century. The southwestern tower was the largest and also served as a donjon. It has four levels with embrasures, split by wooden ceilings. The walls of the lower courtyard are largely in ruins, but the fortress obviously had a multifaceted shape, following the complicated terrain. Its only tower was built from the east side to protect from the former road side. A part of the tower wall still remains. In the neighborhood of Bebris Tsikhe, archeological layers of ancient and feudal periods are identified.
There is no written document about the origin of the fortess'es name. A legend about the Bebris Tsikhe says that once this territory belonged to a prince called Simon, who built the fortress in a narrow part of the ravine and put guards inside it. He had a pretty and kind daughter – Makrine, and a cruel and heartless son Mamuka. After death of the father, Mamuka imposed an enormous tax on peasants. Who was not able to pay a tax was tortured cruelly by Mamuka. In vain begged kind Makrine her brother to mercy the peasants. The cruel brother didn't have a pity for her and imprisoned her in a tower. Once, while peasants were making watery meal in a huge saucepan, unexpectedly two crows came over, flew into the saucepan and were boiled in it. The peasants pored the meal away. When Mamuka learned about it he got very angry and was about to whip them, but in this very moment, from the saucepan emerged snakes and twisted around him. Desperate Mamuka prayed God: ″Just save me and I’ll build a church in your name.″ Makrine watched her brother’s troubles from the window, who also prayed to God to save him. Merciful God accepted prayers and set Mamuka free from snakes. Saved Mamuka gave away his fortune, became a monk and began to collect donation for a church construction. His sister Makrina became a nun in Mtskheta. Many years passed, Makrine died, on her funeral came a white-beard old man, gave a kiss to the deceased and said: ″My sister, we kept our promise″. As soon as he pronounced those words he went on knees and gave his soul to the God. Since that the fortress is called ″Bebris Tsikhe″ (Fortress of an old man).
The road was originally passing by the east side of the fortress, along the river bank. In the 19th century a new road was cut through the mountain, now passing by the west side of Bebristsikhe.
In 2004, Bebris Tsikhe was indicated as a National Cultural Monuments of Georgia.
