We made it successfully to Vancouver (earrrrrly ferry) and dumped my life into my new suite. It's a good thing Dad was here to put the desk back together because he's the one who took it apart.
After several days of moving from a house across the street and two doors up, using handtrucks, golf carts, and one load with a moving van, my brand new neighbors trimmed their trees along the driveway (not shown here).
The chowhounds began to arrive in the evening to strip the branches of the freshly cut leaves. I'm sure that the neighbor will be henceforth "marked" as a hospitable site.
Eventually, there were about a dozen, who hung around for quite a while until they finally migrated next door to visit the lady who frequently puts out corn for them.
I thought that putting out corn was the time honored tradition of Texas deer hunters, but I've never seen the lady trying to shoot one!

Moving people is something which fascinated me as you can make people become blurs of colour. Therefore I went to Chester City Centre and left my camera on long exposure, allowing the people to become smudges of colour. I used these images to inspire my paintings.
we've never had more than cory and myself for our moving days. with five extra people, it was the fastest move ever.
This picture just cracked me up. In this day and age of cultural "sensitivity" this image of a Native on the side of a moving van seems strangely out of place. Somebody in marketing or quality control must have been sleeping a bit. Ironically, I imagine the image is meant to celebrate American Indian culture.
