I signed late Sat. night as #5059 and just checked now, Sunday morning the 8th....11 CST, U.S.A.....#6351 is from Australia. So you see, all over flickr world, not just the U.S., is signing.
Petititons on the moveon.org site seem to carry great weight here in US; that is, if there are MANY 1000's who sign. Respect to those in charge is highly desired.

No sense. Hard to write comments exceeding 2 or 3 words
We can't see who faved our pictures
We can't see the groups the pictures appear in ( except only 8 )
Awards images. are not shown
Invitations are not visible ( except for the last ones only in "Recent Activity").The oldest are lost
For admins group management will become a work more and more difficult or even impossible
Some groups might close......and groups add visibility to our pictures
They allow us to admire beautiful works and to meet with great photographers
Our descriptions including quotes or links to YouTube or other sites are hidden
NO LONGER ANY CONVIVIALITY.. ANY VISIBILITY . NO SENSE
In fact this layout specifically targets tablets and smartphones

Unfortunately everything we can do seems absolutely useless ....
Yahoo and Flickr don't care
Unfortunately it is obvious that Yahoo wants to turn Flickr into another social network for people (mainly teens and young ) using only tablets and smartphones and whose only interaction is Hi or Lol
Motivated photographers still using computers (with photo-softwares) and large screens are no longer desirable customers....
( nor groups since our invitations are only visible on our "Recent Activity "Page....The oldest are lost ....and everything is done to impede their functioning)
Advertising is much much more lucrative than our Pro accounts .......
How many people know what represents the Beta Page ?? I wonder ?
Only some users of the English version of Flickr ..... but not all of them
Users of any other language have not been informed.... amazing No ??

I've been very conflicting about self-portraiture lately. A mixture between condescending and 'I'm so sick of my face'.
That plus uni, plus creativity-hibernation hasn't been the best combo.
But it feels like I'm finally waking up.

Pics from this afternoon's "We Choose to Fight: Nobody Elected Elon" MoveOn protest at the Department of Treasury.
Just based on what I saw, I'd say 1500 people came to fight back against the oppressive, dehumanizing techniques of the current administration.
I really did not want to go, I feel so scarred after the Proud Boys visits in 2020. But I could not look myself in the mirror and stand back anymore. So just like 1.0, all of these photos are available on Flickr in Creative Commons for media, influencers, and everyday people like me and you to use. Or just take and share any of these. Attribution requested.

Questa è simbolica protesta al Flickr verso la versione Beta che vogliono a far partire il 8 dicembre .Con ultimi cambiamenti di Flickr siamo delusi veramente tutti !!! Il sito non è più divertente come una volta , tante difficoltà per seguire le foto , i gruppi e cett , e anche molto lento !!!
Con la nuova versione Beta tutto quello che si vede ora - spariranno !!! Ci sarà solo l'immagine a destra è sarà possibile aprire solo alcune informazioni. Icone di premi non saranno più visibili. Ciò significa per gli amministratori e altri membri non sarà più possibile accedere direttamente ai gruppi e che non si potrà più controllare (e sarà difficile di controllare i premi (Award, commenti) ). Sono sicura che Flickr non è destinato a cambiare i loro piani, anche se noi protestiamo, ma facciamo tutto possibile per fare capire che non siamo d'accordo !

Con la nuova piattaforma Beta il Team di Flickr ha intenzione di apportare delle ulteriori modifiche che limiteranno pesantemente gli interscambi tra users:
1 - Non ci sarà più uno spazio bianco sotto le foto per le descizioni, commenti o inviti ai gruppi
2 - Difficile scrivere un commento che contenga più di 3 parole
3 - Non possiamo vedere chi favorisce le nostre foto
4 - Non possiamo vedere in quali gruppi appare la foto
5 - Le immagini degli award non saranno visibili
6 - Gli inviti non saranno più visibili. Gli ultimi appariranno solo in Attività Recente, gli altri andranno perduti.
7 - Per gli Admin diventerà impossibile gestire i gruppi per cui molti chiuderanno.
8 - Le nostre descrizioni, incluse citazioni, link a YouTube o altri siti saranno nascoste

Je précise donc pour tous ceux qui ne l'ont pas vue que la Beta page ne comporte plus de zone blanche sous les photos pour les descriptions / commentaires / invitations / flickr Award Counter..
Seulement une étroite barre latérale à droite de la photo ne montrant que les 4 derniers commentaires
Typographie blanche sur un fond noir et funèbre qui blesse les yeux
Aucun sens .Difficile d'écrire un commentaire de plus de 2 ou 3 mots
Nous ne pouvons pas voir qui a mis en favoris
Nous ne pouvons pas voir dans quels groupes les images apparaissent ( à l'exception de 8 )
Les images des Awards ne sont pas affichées
Les invitations ne sont pas visibles (sauf les plus récentes et seulement dans " Dernière Activité ') Les plus anciennes sont perdues
Pour les admins la gestion des groupes va devenir une tâche de plus en plus difficile sinon impossible
Des groupes risquent de fermer et ils donnent de la visibilité à nos images
Ils nous permettent d'admirer de belles œuvres et de rencontrer des grands photographes
Nos descriptions incluant des citations ou des liens vers YouTube et autres sites sont masquées
PLUS AUCUNE convivialité / visibilité / AUCUN SENS
En fait cette disposition est conçue avant tout pour les tablettes ou smartphones

Malheureusement tout ce que nous pouvons faire semble inutile ....
Yahoo et Flickr s'en fichent
Malheureusement il est évident que Yahoo veut faire de Flickr un autre réseau social pour les personnes (essentiellement ados et "djeunes" ) utilisant seulement des tablettes et autres smartphones et dont la seule interaction est Hi ou LoL
Les photographes motivés utilisant encore des ordinateurs (avec des logiciels d'édition) et de grands écrans ne sont plus des clients souhaitables
( Ni les groupes puisque nos invitations ne sont plus visibles que dans "dernière Activité" ....Les plus anciennes sont perdues et tout est fait pour entraver leur bon fonctionnement )
La publicité est infiniment plus lucrative que nos comptes-Pro
Combien de personnes savent ce que représente cette Beta Page ??? Je me le demande ?
Seulement certains utilisateurs de la version anglaise ....mais pas tous
Les utilisateurs de toute autre langue n'ont pas été informés ; étonnant non???
Tout ceci est très décourageant

Beta is a test preview of the change that is getting ready to be implemented soon. It can be for a limited group of flickr members, intended to seek feedback and correct faults ( if any), before it is made public.
Change is good and public has always welcomed good changes. The preference for Windows XP by most people even after the introduction of Vista is a classic example of public acceptance. The public liked and preferred the predecessor ( Windows XP ) and the follower ( Windows 7 and Windows 8 ) versions of Vista. A change is good and often gladly welcomed by public, if it provides more utilities and user friendliness, without depriving even a single advantage of the predecessor.
The Beta version is unacceptable to the majority of Flickr users* ( who happened to experience it ) , because it's not user friendly and has only disadvantages to mention. *Please check the Beta feedback : Completed / Top ideas / Hot ideas
The layout itself is a disaster. Please check : Try our new photo experience beta / Comment box
However they try, it's quite evident that it's impossible to provide more space for descriptions, comment box, and comments; not to mention comments with pictures , group invites / awards. The more they try to fix it, the more cumbersome it becomes. The buddy icons now appear as dots making the page more unaesthetic than what you see in the earlier pictures of beta . They are desperately trying to make it appealing and user friendly, which is literally impossible with the proposed layout .
It's a big challenge for the programmers to try find means to provide more space in a vertical column which is already cramped.
Is it possible to make a rugby stadium inside a 100 square feet ground ?

On Sunday afternoon we hosted a MoveOn.org calling party at our house for 14 people. We called MoveOn volunteers to get them to work with Obama's campaign in key states from Missouri to Colorado. Nationwide there were over 1,700 parties like ours calling more than 490,000 volunteers.
Oh yeah, and the vegan cupcakes totally rocked the vote.

One of my older cousins died the other day, and after a little celebration (as we do in our close family) to recall some of the joys we shared, I went for a little stroll.
I found this viewing position which featured a number of boundary points between opposite/complementaries.
Pondering upon the notion of Transition I note that each side is obvious, left/right, up/down, wet/dry, light in the sky, light in the water, and so on.
Even the Litter Bin and 'Stop' signs which mark transition infer moments when the point of change is neither in, nor out of one, or the other.
Over-thinking? Perhaps just grieving the loss of a person who was a greater and lesser part of my life for sixty years ...
