Hello together,
I know you like pictures and thats the reason, why I send this post.
The Flickr - Platform shall be changed to a design and featuring like facebook or twitter.
All engaged photographers and photofriends are against this version coming next, so please see the text below and sign the petition via the link blue and broad underlined, too...
Thanks in advance
Droemeli
Hi,
Recently Flickr did a remodel of the site and it was VERY poorly done. I am hoping to get at least 10,000 signatures to turn into Marissa Mayer. Please share this with all your friends! We need this to go viral.
That's why I signed a petition to Marissa Mayer, CEO, which says:
"We ask you to please change Flickr back to its old style. The new style is incredibly poorly done and we had no chance to opt out or even pick between the new and old style."
Will you sign this petition? Click here:

Thanks!

The No Kings gathering in Vero Beach, Florida, brought community members together on October 17th, 2026 to encourage everyone to vote and stand up for democracy, freedom, and accountability. These photos capture the energy and determination of people making their voices heard and standing up for the belief that power belongs to the people. Early voting takes place from Oct. 19-31 in Florida. Early voting is encouraged. Resist! Vote!

Thank you Anuj Nair for initiating this protest.
Yahoo has new ideas. flickr is offering 1 TB free space for all accounts. Those who want to be rid of advertisements have to pay.
I appeal you all those who plan to quit, to change your mind and stay. You can make use of your accounts just for storage. Make your accounts private, make this image public and use flickr for storage. You can save on external hard disks.
If we check in to a hotel room seeing it's features, should we bear it without a word of protest if they take away the furniture one by one including the bed ? flickr should know that the people who protest are not against 'changes'.
Changes shouldn't steal away the utilities that made people choose flickr.
Protest ! flickr is not just the property of few people who get paid to serve the people that make it. If they offer 1 TB free space for every account, the salaried people who planned it have advertisements in mind. Many unique special utilities made people like you and me join flickr, and flickr is taking away all what that made us choose it. Now the only special thing in flickr is 1 TB free storage. Let's then make use of it, without caring about flickr's revenue. We can seek better places for what we like, still keep this place for storage. If the 'hotel' stinks and cheated us, make it your warehouse or sty. If this is forced on us, you can make your account private, store everything here; display , share and comment elsewhere.
Thank you.
Anuj Nair

A cave was long abandoned by its dwellers, yet it cannot be defined either as uninteresting or unattractive.
Poetry lives there. Poetry saves the land from becoming infertile. Poetry invites the clouds to gather around a glorious sunset. Human presence is implied by the man-made stone wall. Beauty and Colour is worshipped.
Deserted dwellings as well as separated persons live on by the grace of Poetry, no matter what misfortune was in store for them.
Meteora, Greece.

Trying to reach 15,000 signatures so we can have someone hand deliver the petition to Yahoo's CEO.
Sometimes what people need to hear, are simple words which can heal.
Yesterday it ended.
I am so sorry.
I'm sorry for the late upload. ): Yesterday I was too depressed to do anything but getting limp on the bed. I wish I could tell you what really happened yesterday, but I'm just so afraid that the people who knows me in real life would simply find out. Then I will get in trouble.
And I don't want that.
