I was driving out of Boston and saw a crowd forming at the State House. It was a Support Wisconsin Rally organized by Mass Public Sector Unions and Moveon.Org. Not a big crowd and well behaved but I didn't see any mass of manufactured signs. Almost all seemed to be hand made.
Tonite is the Presidential debate! Hoping it goes well for Kamala Harris.

FOUR YEARS AGO found me apologizing me to my international friends for what I thought was an aberrant election result that did not reflect who we are as America.
However, in the past four years 68 million Americans had access to everything we knew about Trump, his family, his corruption and his mental competence - and still voted for him. The history books tell us that Americans, collectively as a society, have 'always' been racist, anti-science, superstitious and provincial. We can try to say that Murdoch and Putin have been just too good about spreading disinformation, but the reality is the past four years - and this election - have demonstrated quite clearly, that yes, sadly, this IS us.

Several members of MoveOn from Palm beach County met at Congressman Robert Wexler's office to deliver a petition and a message. As it is now, Barack Obama is weighing the extent of support for a program and is evaluating the extent to which it may be compromised by maximizing tax breaks for the already wealthy in order to gain conservative support. We oppose these compromises.

MoveOn joined the Congressional Progressive Caucus, Credo. and other allies to deliver more than 400,000 petition signatures to Congress today in support of the Iran deal and against a needless war.
This pin was originally a painting titled Hope and Unity for Barack Obama I had done for MoveOn.org’s art contest back in 2008. The artwork had to reflect the Barack Obama campaign themes of patriotism, hope, and unity. The winning artwork would be put on display at a local Denver art gallery during the Democratic convention and it would’ve been put up for auction (with the proceeds going towards the Obama campaign). Well I did the painting, digitized it, and sent the .jpeg in. I found out that my painting was one of over 1,000 submissions but it wasn’t until later I found out that there was room at the Denver art gallery for only 32 entries and I wasn’t selected. I subsequently displayed this painting at the annual Labor Day Festival Art Show in Greenbelt, Maryland where I overheard some positive reviews for this when I was in the area where the painting was on display. I also displayed it a few months later at the New Deal Cafe, also in Greenbelt, as part of the 2008 Art Walk event.
After the Labor Day Festival Art Show ended, I came up with an idea to turn the painting into a piece of jewelry so I took the .jpeg version, printed it out on special Shrinky Dinks paper, baked it in the oven, placed a necklace loop at the top, and glued a pin backing on it. This item can be worn as either a necklace or a pin.
