Having been serviced and fuelled 2 three car sets are about to move onto the carriage sidings at Tyseley, the leading car is 53040. To the left is the mound of scrap indicating the rail connected business of Allan Rowland metals, today his board still faces Tyseley station although the yard has been closed for many years. The station is as it was before it was became faux GWR on it's last refurbishment when the platform gained ridiculous flower planters that nobody maintains and are a magnet for litter. The dark line in front of the train is a shadow of a lamp post, lengthy in the low winter sun. 10/02/1985

This photograph was shot when it was still dark...just before dawn.
I was enamoured by the scene here. There was the beautiful bridge across the river, and a boat parked on one of the pavillions. I saw how the water was gently rocking the boat (seen here as a blurred image in the foreground), while the bridge remained totally still. I knew this would be an incredible capture. I set up my tripod and exposed the image for 15 seconds.
For me this scene represents the two sides of our own lives. One that is static. And one that is changing. Don't reject either. Both are vital.

There are two reasons why a person faces the sea.
One, to enjoy a slice of shine in the sea like children bubbling over in the beach.
The other, to brush the dust of memory like an old man who misses old days, staring at the shine
quietly.
Those lead to only one meaning though they do not seem to overlap. It’s a rebirth.
I face myself to change tomorrow, a vague day into something certain.
That is the meaning of a rebirth.
I had a very sweet girlfriend when I was 18.
After she left, I knew the meaning of gentleness for the first time and also a true pain of loss. After
she left, how many times did I depend too much on her, doubt her, envy her and keep on telling lies
until I realized it is love?
I wonder whether a nobody like me could have given something to her who was struggling in the
daily life in those days. Giving something is arrogant conceit. It is nothing but self-satisfaction.
I had been thinking about such a thing.
However, I guess what she saw in me was because I had nothing. That‘s why she tried to see
something in me. Perhaps she found a slight possibility in me, a guy filled with ambiguous, unstable
tomorrow. But I wasted days depending too much on her gentleness.
Now I finally can convey how I felt in those days when we met.

Recent North East RHTT pair 56090 and 56105 are seen passing through Cumbernauld running as the 0Z56 Carlisle NY - Grangemouth .
Presumably an effort to get the pair a bit closer to Bo- ness Diesel gala which they recently appeared at, whilst still in an active pool .
A list from yesterday showed all of the Colas 56's bar 56049 out of service including 56090 and 56105 which are still at Boness .

A Lysander being moved by staff and volunteers during the Season Opener 2016 Airshow at the Shuttleworth Collection so that it was pointing the right way to enable it to take part in the flying display.
Judge's comments: That's a recognisable plane (the judge wasn't sure what it was until someone told him). Being manhandled gives another interest to the image rather than just seeing a picture of it on flight. Taken during a bright day. It needs a bit of flash underneath the wing. Some of the rivets can be seen but some parts are a little too dark. The Human intervention and the direction the plane is in works well.
Judge's score: 17/20
Hey Everyone
For the benefit of those who may have missed my previous Move message but I have moved to a new Flickr account.
I have thought long and hard about this and decided to move to a new Flickr account. I have decided to do this as this current account is about 6 years old now and I have decided to have a fresh start with a New Flickr Account.
Also I wanted to move away from the 'Turnipfarmer' username that I first started with on Flickr back in 2009, something I realised that couldn't be changed afterwards so I am sticking with my name on the new account which I feel is more inline with my website and other Photo accounts I have on the web, also looks more professional too!
I'd like to thank everyone that has followed me over the last 5-6 years and hope it may continue over on my new Flickr account.

BNSF power move heading east through Braid. They had just finished switching and I believe they headed light to New Westminister to Pick up cars from SRY or over the Fraser River Bridge to Brownsville yard.
In a release move, a gymnast lets go of the bar and then re-grasps it or the other uneven bar. In this case, the low bar to the high bar movement appears to be perfect.
I've just moved!!
I could not spare my time for pictures during the move. But finally, I finished making up a cozy environment in my new room ; )
now, it's time for pictures again!!
