I took a drive down to Marazion in Cornwall last night to get a few drone shots of St Michael's Mount.

I've wanted to get a few views of the mount for a long time and now I have my drone I thought I'd pay a visit after work yesterday.

It was a gorgeous evening and Jim and I got some really nice shots

an active stratovolcano, actually a vent of Mt Tongariro just north of it. It erupted 45 times in the 20th century and there are strong sulfur fumes if you climb it. Starred as Mount Doom in LOTR movies. Have a great Sunday.

It is impossible to be anywhere in this part of northern Washington State and not have the skyline dominated by this magnificent sight. It really is that much bigger than anything else around it

According to scientific reports, Mount Siple is a shield volcano (broad volcanoes with gentle slopes in the shape of a warrior's shield), the largest volcanoes on Earth. Its summit has an elevación of 3,110 m and forms an island 110 Km long off the Pacific Coast of Antarctica's Marie Byrd Land at 73.49ºS. A section of the Antarctica ice shelf can be seen on the left side of this capture.

Mount Athabasca is located in the Columbia Icefield of Jasper National Park in Canada. Mount Athabasca is unusual, in that water flows to the Pacific Ocean from the western slope, the Arctic Ocean from the northeastern slope, and to Hudson Bay from the southeastern slope.

Wilcox Ridge moderate hike has stunning views of the Athabasca Glacier along with Mount Andromeda, Mount Athabasca, Mount Kitchener and the ice-capped Snow Dome.

The wind whips up, bringing more snow to the twin peaks of Mount Shasta and Mount Shastina in northern California. Photo scanned in to create a digital image.

The state of Washington's second highest peak, at 12, 289 feet. It rises 8,000 feet above it's surrounding lanscape. (Deschutes River Recreation Area IMG_5097.jpg)

A fine day for snowshoeing turned into and excellent day for Mount Hood spotting. Look close and you might see a few climbers.

Inside the Mount Bromo crater - Gunung Bromo - an active volcano and part of the Tengger massif, located in East Java, Indonesia.

The volcano belongs to the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. The name of Bromo derived from Javanese pronunciation of Brahma, the Hindu creator god.

At 2,329 metres (7,641 ft) it is not the highest peak of the massif, but is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Java island.

Mount Baker glacier-covered andesitic stratovolcano in the Cascade Volcanic Arc and the North Cascades of Washington in the United States. Mount Baker has the second-most thermally active crater in the Cascade Range after Mount St. Helens. About 30 miles (48 km) due east of the city of Bellingham, Whatcom County, Mount Baker is the youngest volcano in the Mount Baker volcanic field. While volcanism has persisted here for some 1.5 million years, the current volcanic cone is likely no more than 140,000 years old, and possibly no older than 80–90,000 years. Older volcanic edifices have mostly eroded away due to glaciation.

After Mount Rainier, Mount Baker has the heaviest glacier cover of the Cascade Range volcanoes; the volume of snow and ice on Mount Baker, 0.43 cu mi (1.79 km3) is greater than that of all the other Cascades volcanoes (except Rainier) combined. It is also one of the snowiest places in the world; in 1999, Mount Baker Ski Area, located 9 mi (14.5 km) to the northeast, set the world record for recorded snowfall in a single season—1,140 in (29 m; 95 ft).

Mount Baker is the third-highest mountain in Washington and the fifth-highest in the Cascade Range, if Little Tahoma Peak, a subpeak of Mount Rainier, and Shastina, a subpeak of Mount Shasta, are not counted. Located in the Mount Baker Wilderness, it is visible from much of Greater Victoria, Nanaimo, and Greater Vancouver in British Columbia, and to the south, from Seattle (and on clear days Tacoma) in Washington.

Mount Shasta is a potentially active volcano at the southern end of the Cascade Range in Siskiyou County, California. At an elevation of 14,179 feet, it is the second-highest peak in the Cascades and the fifth-highest in the state. The mountain and surrounding area are part of the Shasta–Trinity National Forest.

The last confirmed eruption of Mt. Hood was in 1865-1866.

If you really look at the image - you get a sense of how big this mountain really is. Look at the distance and the amount of trees between my vantage point and the mountain itself.

Someday I'd love to hike on this mountain. Kind of a bucket list item for me.

Taken on today's adventure around Lake Minnewanka...

I was in search of the "lone tree"... Having gone from the outhouse at the main turnoff and bouldered to the end of the service road... I have come to the conclusion the tree is photoshopped into every image! Haha.

I may not have found the tree... But I have been loving these ice chunks my past few visits to this lake.

We spend two days on a camping ground closed Paradise. Cold, misty and rainy wether. For this reason the creek’s were full up and we enjoyed many waterfalls.

Mount Kirkjufell, also known as Church Mountain, is a distinctly shaped peak found on the north shore of Iceland’s Snæfellsnes Peninsula. It is considered to be the most photographed mountain in Iceland due to its dramatic formation and perfect coastal location.
