I hadn't been up there in a few years and just wanted to check it out so Monica and I took a little day drive and went to see how it looked. It was pretty. Glad we went.

From the archive, a photo I always considered a dud, Mount Fujiyama framed by Sukura, or Cherry blossoms.

Taken from the cog rail of Mount Washington in New Hampshire. This was during fall and there are varied fall colours on the mountains. Mount washington by itself has very little color to display. On a side not, it is officially the worst weather in the world.
Mount Freycinet is the highest mountain peak in the Freycinet National Park. At 620 metres, it is not high, having been weathered and worn down over the past 400 million years. In the bright afternoon light the reflections in the lagoon are quite beautiful, especially next to that lovely yellow and green grass

After an amazing day in Banff National Park we ended the day hanging out at the Vermillion Lakes watching the sun do it's magic on the beautiful scenery. Mount Ngauruhoe (Māori: Ngāuruhoe) is a volcanic cone in New Zealand. It is the youngest vent in the Tongariro stratovolcano complex on the Central Plateau of the North Island and first erupted about 2,500 years ago. Although often regarded as a separate mountain, geologically, it is a secondary cone of Mount Tongariro.
The volcano lies between the active volcanoes of Mount Tongariro to the north and Mount Ruapehu to the south, to the west of the Rangipo Desert and 25 kilometres to the south of the southern shore of Lake Taupō.
