Arriva Buses Wales VDL SB200 / Wright Pulsar 2913 - CX58 EXD is pictured at Bodelwyddan on route 13 to Llandudno. A layer of road salt covers its fairly recent application of the new livery, although that itself has been around almost three years now.

A Vauxhall Cavalier SRi is seen here with what is probably a slightly older Astra Estate languishing on a driveway. Both are pretty green although there was no real large amount of foliage / trees nearby. The Cavalier has been untaxed since 1999 so only managed a mere 8 years on the road, however the tyres still seem to be inflated after 17 years of standing!
Just the last days of Spring now ... summer is about here. Was very summer like yesterday with nice temperatures and breezy conditions on Middle River. A fine day for these folks to be out enjoying it with a cruise.
Saw that the boat was about to enter the sparkly water, so composed the capture.
Birmingham registered - last MOT expired August 2018 - taxed to April 2023.

This RPPC was mailed from Elk Point, South Dakota on 11 November, 1909 to Mr. H.E. Jones, 820 Idaho St., Huron, South Dakota. The message reads; "Cold and rainy today - J_[?]__ has been sick for two days but better now. Leila wants us to come down for two plays Fri. and Sat. but just don't know what do as Uncle Alex is very low and we hate to go home till he is better. I am planning on coming Monday if nothing happens. Will go to S.C. Sat. and stay with Leila and go to matinee ("Paid In Full"). Hope you are OK and don't worry about me. Will try and write you again and let you just when I arrive. Lovingly, S_ [?]__".
Perhaps the writer is one of the ladies pictured, pretending to push an impressive brass era automobile. If the gals did set it rolling I'd say the gent straddling the front suspension is well positioned to do himself an injury. The group are well togged up for open air motoring travel.
The Saturday matinee of "Paid In Full" which the writer mentions would have been a touring company's performance of Eugene Walter's hit Broadway play of 1908.
One thing you won't see very often, a grimy Trentbarton bus with a substandard LED. Here Volvo B7RLE / Wright Eclipse 743 - FJ09 XPB stands in Ilkeston on a bitterly cold day working the ilkeston flyer service to Derby fast.
There are times that the use of the motor is justified!

The object being two Canada Geese who had dared to land on Smithy Pool at Dunham Massey. Soon despatched to another part of the park.
One of the powered parachutes motoring in and out of Shippensburg Airport flies along the treeline at sunset before turning in to land.
This RPPC was mailed from the USA to Miss Karolina Pack, Orillia, Ontario, Canada c/o The Northway Company. The partial postmark is smudged with no place or date readable. The message (in minuscule pen and ink) reads; "Hello Karolina, Your welcome letter rec'd. Many thanks for inquiring about linen. Would like it ordered again certainly. Must have been some misunderstanding - first was told part came in - just the napkins. Well, as you know I did not want napkins without cloth. I think Mr. B just _ ___ __ __ his word but never mind. I will be very glad to get them now. I am coming up home for a week from Xmas until New Year and if you have other goods coming import they will do then. Mrs. Mina Young & I are going over to Toronto Sept. 6th and I will buy one set of linen there. I want the two sets. I have no price and size of __ but Mr. B was to order another different pattern, the same quality and price. I am ___ Mrs. Garrett from Toronto Saturday for few days. Raining again today - you just missed all the bad weather. Rec'd cards from Jennie. Do write. Give me all the news.".

Arriva Buses Wales VDL Pulsar 2 2935 - MX09 EKP stands in Chester bus interchange on route 4 to Mold, its freshly applied Sapphire livery coated in road salt. Within days, the bus transferred to Bangor depot, a very odd move considering Bangor has no Sapphire routes! The message in the destination display reads Season's Greetings from Arriva.

Evoking motoring memories of England's countryside byways. I don't know who is responsible for seeing these old road signs preserved, but they're just brilliant. I've noticed that there are a few of them about and they still carry the North Riding of Yorkshire County Council circle atop and distances rounded off to the nearest quarter mile!
And just is case anyone's puzzled, this is NOT an old photograph!
This vehicle was a jaw-dropping treat for the eyes and cameras.
