Kyle Cooper revolutionized film title sequences with such eye-popping wonders as Se7en, Mission Impossible and Spiderman, to name a few.
Some years back, Cooper and fellow associates left an agency to form their own agency, Imaginary Forces, which he then departed as it became too big for his liking. He claimed that his true intention was to work the craft of motion graphics—where he was closer to God.
Prologue Films is he new agency venture, and a fine example of their work is the special effects for Julie Taymor’s film “Across The Universe”.

"Camminavo. Incontravo altri passanti. Camminavano tutti nella stessa direzione. Erano leggeri, pareva fossero senza peso. I loro piedi senza radici non si ferivano mai. Era la strada di chi ha lasciato la propria casa, di chi ha lasciato il loro paese. Quella strada non portava in nessun luogo. Era una strada dritta e larga che non aveva fine. Attraversava le montagne e le città, i giardini e le torri, senza lasciare traccia dietro di sè. Quando ci si voltava, era scomparsa."
Agota Kristof
The creative encounter between the illustrator Daniel Egnéus and the director Mario Greco, with the collaboration of the musician Stefano Brandoni, gave birth to the “Leaving home” video project.
The visionary drawings of the Swedish artist Egnéus come to life under the careful direction of Mario Greco.
“Leaving home” begins with a surreal, ethereal, at times hypnotic incipit where a city is born, grows and transforms itself taking the viewer into a catastrophic and claustrophobic world.
The city crumbles under the fall of crazy meteorites that spare no one. The initial rarefied atmosphere is soon replaced by overwhelming color games, and it almost seems that the audiovisual work of the three artists does not contemplate the chance of salvation. Everything changes in the end though, where there is a visual magic of peace and wonder. Feelings of loneliness and melancholy can be perceived, but not of sadness.
The poignant drawings fly over the delicate notes, and the attentive direction of Greco reminds us that although we are far from home and from our “own world”, we are still somehow connected to the universe we come from.

I seem to be doing a lot of silly stuff these days. And one of those is making little videos out of my old powerpoint presentations using proshow. Awesome transitions. And totally mindless busy work. Exactly what is needed sometimes.

Video bumper for our church's sermon series on worry. We are working through a year-long series called "The New Normal" based on Jesus' teaching in the Sermon on the Mount. This "sub-series" was about worry.
