You zoom in on the thing you want to be focused, then you hit the shutter button and zoom out super fast, giving you this effect.

Not too surprised to see a DPU on this train, and I wasn't too happy either since the light was totally against me. Trying to make lemonade out of a lemon I dialed down to 1/40th of a second (I generally shoot in shutter priority mode) for a blur motion shot at the grade crossing.

I kinda like this....but, my! Do I wish Sis had gotten a sharp shot of the ever handsome Fengur going bonkers on a fresh new field!

How can you depict motion in a still photograph? By using a long exposure I can show where the subject came from and where it is going.

I took this photo at the Phoenix Public Library and I like how it shows the person moving from one part of the stair to another.

I almost didn't get a picture today. Lately it's been tough to get pictures... I'm not feeling super creative for whatever reason. Late in the evening, I remembered our challenge, and so, here's my picture for the day.

I would also like to relate that I broke my iPhone on Tuesday (it leapt out of my purse and committed suicide on the sidewalk), and Apple replaced it under warranty. Woot!

Seen this on a Narita Express before?
