Jesus at Somnath Lane Bandra

I have been documenting the crosses of Bandra for a very long time and these are old memories

But now during the lockdown I decided to videograph them short videos of one minute.

To showcase the heritage of the Esst Indians and to add to my thread Christian Ethos of Bandra.

Ironically I shoot the garbage dumps of Bandra Modijis Swacch Bharat misplaced in Bandra even during this pandemic.

I also pay tribute to the Municipal Conservancy staff real civic warriors badly neglected.

Oneday they were given PPE but the next day they were back to normal.

But I digress Jesus is the subject of this post.. I have faithfully documented Jesus even when his statues and crosses were being targeted demolished by our over zealous Municipality.

They bought bulldozers to demolish the De Monte cross but he still stands there and mind you he was erected in private property.

So the story of Bandra is the story of its crosses.

My friends the humble #MunicipalConservancy Staff of H Ward #Bandra.

They used to clean our Bandra Bazar dump now they work on #WarodaRoad .

No gloves no shoes no masks such is their life slaving for #BMC

They are foot soldiers of Modijis #SwacchBharat

If Modiji had given them #15lakh rupees in their bank account do you think they would be slogging on the road on daily wages scorching heat humidity.

15 Lakh abhi tak Nahi Aye

Bechara Garib Gana Gaye

Apne Sar Deewar se Takraye

Roti Chutney khaye..

Acche Din ki Khoj main

Sari unar bitaye..

Sab ka Sath Sab ka Vikas
