MUSIC: "The End" (The Doors)
www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSUIQgEVDM4
LYRICS:
This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend
The end
Of our elaborate plans
The end
Of everything that stands
The end
No safety or surprise
The end
I'll never look into your eyes
Again
Can you picture what will be
So limitless and free
Desperately in need of some stranger's hand
In a desperate land
Lost in a Roman wilderness of pain
And all the children are insane
All the children are insane
Waiting for the summer rain, yeah
There's danger on the edge of town
Ride the king's highway, baby
Weird scenes inside the gold mine
Ride the highway west, baby
Ride the snake, ride the snake
To the lake
The ancient lake
Baby
The snake is long, seven miles
Ride the snake
He's old
And his skin is cold
The west is the best
The west is the best
Get here, and we'll do the rest
The blue bus is callin' us
The blue bus is callin' us
Driver, where you taking us
The killer awoke before dawn, he put his boots on
He took a face from the ancient gallery
And he walked on down the hall
He went into the room where his sister lived, and...then he
Paid a visit to his brother, and then he
He walked on down the hall, and
And he came to a door...and he looked inside
"Father?" "Yes, son." "I want to kill you."
"Mother, I want to..."
C'mon babe
C'mon baby, take a chance with us
C'mon baby, take a chance with us
C'mon baby, take a chance with us
And meet me at the back of the blue bus
Doin' a blue rock
On a blue bus
Doin' a blue rock
C'mon, yeah
Fuck, fuck-ah, yeah
Fuck
Fuck
Fuck, fuck
Fuck, fuck, fuck, yeah
C'mon, yeah, c'mon, yeah
Fuck me, baby, fuck yeah
Fuck, fuck, fuck, yeah!
Fuck, yeah! C'mon, baby
Fuck me, baby, fuck, fuck, yeah
Whoa, whoa, yeah, fuck, baby
C'mon, yeah, huh, huh, huh, huh, yeah
All right
Kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill
This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end
It hurts to set you free
But you'll never follow me
The end of laughter and soft lies
The end of nights we tried to die
This is the end
Bordering Purisima Open Space. Kings Mountain, Ca.
Some moderate Photoshopping was done to increase contrast and bring out the foreground.
In late February, 2013 the Aqua satellite passed over Scotland as the clouds parted, allowing the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) flying aboard to capture a clear image of the late winter landscape. This image was captured at 1320 UTC (1:20 in the afternoon local time) on February 27.
England makes up about the southern third of the image. The border between England and Scotland runs from the River Tweed on the east coast and the Solway Firth along the Cheviot Hills of the west coast. The Solway Firth is an estuary of the Irish Sea, and was filled with tan-colored sediment at the time of this image. Further north on the west coast of Scotland, the Firth of Clyde is hidden under a bank of low clouds (fog).
Scotland’s Southern Uplands lie just north of the border and the Central Lowlands just north of that. The Grampian Mountains are found in the center of the country, and the high peaks wear a covering of snow and ice year-round. Finally the Northern Highlands can be seen peeking out from under a large bank of clouds.
The Northern Highlands and the Grampian Mountains are separated by a striking feature - the Great Glen Fault. This is a 100 km-long strike-slip fault which runs from Moray Firth in the east to Fort William at the head of Loch Linnhe in the west. The Great Glen contains the United Kingdom’s deepest freshwater loch, the famous Loch Ness.

Walt Disney World Moderate Resort area. Taken in the early morning as I was making my way for breakfast. I love this moderate resort. Great lush grounds and so peaceful and relaxing to come home to after a hard day at the parks. The only complaint I have is the bus situation in the evenings. This was taken from the Alligator Bayou section.

On August 23, 2013, the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Aqua satellite acquired this image of the drought-fueled Rim fire burning in central California, near Yosemite National Park.
Red outlines indicate hot spots where MODIS detected unusually warm surface temperatures associated with fires. Winds blew a thick smoke plume toward the northeast. A smaller fire—American fire—burned to the north. The lower image is a photograph that shows the fire burning at night on August 21.
Started on August 17, 2013, the fast-moving fire had already charred more than 100,000 acres (40,000 hectares) by August 23, despite the efforts of more than 2,000 firefighters. Hundreds of people were forced to evacuate their homes, and roads in the area were closed. As of August 23, no structures had been reported destroyed, but the fire threatened the towns of Groveland and Pine Mountain Lake.
By late August, wildfires had burned 3.4 million acres in the United States, making 2013 somewhat less active than other recent years. Over the last decade, fires charred 5.7 million acres on average by August 22, according to statistics published the National Interagency Fire Center.

An area of moderate to heavy snow in the northern mid-Atlantic from the eastern shore of Maryland northward along the I-95 corridor to the New York City area made for snowy, slushy commutes on Monday, March 25, 2012, with some areas seeing significant snowfalls. Moderate to heavy snow continued into the early afternoon for the DelMarVa Peninsula and points north with additional accumulations of 1 to 3 inches and more in the higher elevations.

A moderate sized Nomada, a bee that lays its eggs in the nests of bees in the genus Andrena. This species, at least in the male, has a distinctive antennae. You can see it in at least the picture taken of the bee's side that the underside of the antenna is partially eroded away leaving a hollow on each segment. In general, the genus is difficult to identify and there are many taxonomic issues to putting correct and new names on the group. So much to do. Photo by Amanda Robinson.

NASA image acquired January 15, 2012
Snow rested on the land surface while ice rested on the sea surface in southwestern Alaska in mid-January 2012. The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Aqua satellite captured this natural-color image on January 15. Pristine snow blankets the mountains and plains, and tendrils of sea ice fill Bristol Bay, which is surrounded by land on three sides. Arctic sea ice waxes and wanes throughout the year, and conditions fluctuate each season and year—including conditions in the Bering Sea. Although sea ice extent in mid-January 2012 was not at a record high, it was the highest ice extent in several years, according to the National Snow and Ice Data Center.
North of the area in this image, in Nome, Alaska, harsh weather conditions hampered the delivery of much-needed winter fuel. A strong storm in November 2011 prevented the customary pre-winter fuel delivery, and thick sea ice hampered efforts to reach the area through mid-January. A Russian tanker finally succeeded in delivering fuel to Nome by January 16, 2012.
Overall, Arctic sea ice typically grows throughout the month of January, reaching its peak in late February or March. For animations of Arctic sea ice minimum and maximum extents, see the World of Change feature on Arctic sea ice.

Today was anniversary of Ayatollah Taleghani, a real Muslim cleric in my opinion.
This is the main door of his house in Taleghan, which now is a private museum.
--------------------------
Ayatollah Mahmoud Taleghani
(1911 - September 9, 1979) was an Iranian theologian, Muslim reformer and a senior Shia cleric of Iran. He was born in the town of Taleqan in the Alborz mountains. He was considered a moderate and supporter og People's Mujahedin of Iran in his views: he declared the headscarf as not being a mandatory part of hijab, among other opinions.
Taleghani died in 1979 after the revolution of Iran. He was the first Imam for Friday Prayer in Tehran after the fall of Iran's interim government.
Taleghani and Iran's eventual Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ruhollah Musavi Khomeini were clerical and ideological contemporaries within Iran's Shia resistance movement during the rule of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.

On October 17, 2015, the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) aboard NASA’s Terra satellite captured this true-color image of a thick haze hanging over eastern China. In the north, the large city of Beijing is completely obscured from view, as is much of the landscape. The haze thins slightly over the Bohai Sea. Further south, sediment pours into the East China Sea near the city of Shanghai.
Heavy haze is common in this region, and tends to worsen in October through January, when cold, heavy air traps pollutants near the surface of the Earth. It is likely that this scene was caused by such a temperature inversion. Normally, air is warmest near the surface of the Earth. But sometimes a mass of warm air will move the cooler air, so the atmosphere actually warms with the altitude. Cool air does not have energy to rise through the warm air, vertical circulation slows and air becomes trapped near the surface. Any pollution that is emitted into the cooler air will also get trapped, increasing low-level air pollution and haze.

Another Moderate Risk day... but I'm the one taking the risk as I started my day in west central Kansas. Though just my luck all the action was in my backyard in south central Nebraska that afternoon. I should have stayed local...
Storm development was spotty at best, and the first storm was the best of the day, though I did get into some action once back into southwest Nebraska... I wasn't disappointed...

3nd Chase of 2017...
Another early April moderate risk day in South Central Nebraska. Which would turn out to a bust. Storm really didn't fire till after sunset.
Waiting for the instability to fire the storms. Was in the right place, just mother nature had other plans. This particular cell was just building and didn't produce anything but a scenic updraft.

With my Member of Parliament moderating, at the beginning of March. Interesting that two of the two-dozen people there brought up concerns about how trans activists are grooming today's children. We all felt that sort of thing needs to be dealt with when the child in question reaches the age of majority.
It's always darkest before dawn. So if you're going to steal your neighbour's newspaper, that's the time to do it.

The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) aboard NASA’s Terra satellite passed above the North Atlantic Ocean on May 15, 2013, and acquired this true-color image of a complex cloud pattern over the Azores.
The image captures at least two layers of clouds – one high aloft and one lower - and each layer is being driven by different winds. The lower layer of clouds interacts with the Azores archipelago – a group of nine volcanic islands located about 930 mi (1500 km) west of Lisbon, Portugal. The Azores are some of the tallest mountains on Earth, with Mount Pico, on the island of Pico, rising to 2,351 m (7,713 feet).
Air moving over open ocean flows smoothly, until it encounters an obstacle. When moving air slams against a tall, immobile object, such as an island, the airflow is disrupted. The turbulence created can be written in the clouds. Where the deflected air rises abruptly then falls again, it creates a wave pattern on the lee side of the island, which gradually dissipates. At the top of each wave clouds form, while at the trough, where the air falls and warms, the clouds dissipate, giving rise to a cloud-and-clear pattern.
In addition, sharp, tall obstacles can create motion that expands outward from the point of disturbance, and this appears much like the waves that a ship's sharp bow creates in water while moving forward. In this image, at least two broad rows of such ship-wave-shaped clouds can be seen southwest of the Azores.
A higher layer of thinner, wispy clouds can be seen streaking from west to east across the image, particularly in the central and southern section, blown by winds that move almost perpendicular to the lower level winds. This higher cloud layer appears brighter white, and in some areas obscures the lower-level clouds lying below.

The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe
www.youtube.com/watch?v=WcqPQXqQXzI
Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore—
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
“’Tis some visitor,” I muttered, “tapping at my chamber door—
Only this and nothing more.”
Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December;
And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.
Eagerly I wished the morrow;—vainly I had sought to borrow
From my books surcease of sorrow—sorrow for the lost Lenore—
For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore—
Nameless here for evermore.
And the silken, sad, uncertain rustling of each purple curtain
Thrilled me—filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before;
So that now, to still the beating of my heart, I stood repeating
“’Tis some visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door—
Some late visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door;—
This it is and nothing more.”
Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitating then no longer,
“Sir,” said I, “or Madam, truly your forgiveness I implore;
But the fact is I was napping, and so gently you came rapping,
And so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my chamber door,
That I scarce was sure I heard you”—here I opened wide the door;—
Darkness there and nothing more.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,
Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;
But the silence was unbroken, and the stillness gave no token,
And the only word there spoken was the whispered word, “Lenore?”
This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word, “Lenore!”—
Merely this and nothing more.
Back into the chamber turning, all my soul within me burning,
Soon again I heard a tapping somewhat louder than before.
“Surely,” said I, “surely that is something at my window lattice;
Let me see, then, what thereat is, and this mystery explore—
Let my heart be still a moment and this mystery explore;—
’Tis the wind and nothing more!”
Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and flutter,
In there stepped a stately Raven of the saintly days of yore;
Not the least obeisance made he; not a minute stopped or stayed he;
But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door—
Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber door—
Perched, and sat, and nothing more.
Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore,
“Though thy crest be shorn and shaven, thou,” I said, “art sure no craven,
Ghastly grim and ancient Raven wandering from the Nightly shore—
Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night’s Plutonian shore!”
Quoth the Raven “Nevermore.”
Much I marvelled this ungainly fowl to hear discourse so plainly,
Though its answer little meaning—little relevancy bore;
For we cannot help agreeing that no living human being
Ever yet was blessed with seeing bird above his chamber door—
Bird or beast upon the sculptured bust above his chamber door,
With such name as “Nevermore.”
But the Raven, sitting lonely on the placid bust, spoke only
That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour.
Nothing farther then he uttered—not a feather then he fluttered—
Till I scarcely more than muttered “Other friends have flown before—
On the morrow he will leave me, as my Hopes have flown before.”
Then the bird said “Nevermore.”
Startled at the stillness broken by reply so aptly spoken,
“Doubtless,” said I, “what it utters is its only stock and store
Caught from some unhappy master whom unmerciful Disaster
Followed fast and followed faster till his songs one burden bore—
Till the dirges of his Hope that melancholy burden bore
Of ‘Never—nevermore’.”
But the Raven still beguiling all my fancy into smiling,
Straight I wheeled a cushioned seat in front of bird, and bust and door;
Then, upon the velvet sinking, I betook myself to linking
Fancy unto fancy, thinking what this ominous bird of yore—
What this grim, ungainly, ghastly, gaunt, and ominous bird of yore
Meant in croaking “Nevermore.”
This I sat engaged in guessing, but no syllable expressing
To the fowl whose fiery eyes now burned into my bosom’s core;
This and more I sat divining, with my head at ease reclining
On the cushion’s velvet lining that the lamp-light gloated o’er,
But whose velvet-violet lining with the lamp-light gloating o’er,
She shall press, ah, nevermore!
Then, methought, the air grew denser, perfumed from an unseen censer
Swung by Seraphim whose foot-falls tinkled on the tufted floor.
“Wretch,” I cried, “thy God hath lent thee—by these angels he hath sent thee
Respite—respite and nepenthe from thy memories of Lenore;
Quaff, oh quaff this kind nepenthe and forget this lost Lenore!”
Quoth the Raven “Nevermore.”
“Prophet!” said I, “thing of evil!—prophet still, if bird or devil!—
Whether Tempter sent, or whether tempest tossed thee here ashore,
Desolate yet all undaunted, on this desert land enchanted—
On this home by Horror haunted—tell me truly, I implore—
Is there—is there balm in Gilead?—tell me—tell me, I implore!”
Quoth the Raven “Nevermore.”
“Prophet!” said I, “thing of evil!—prophet still, if bird or devil!
By that Heaven that bends above us—by that God we both adore—
Tell this soul with sorrow laden if, within the distant Aidenn,
It shall clasp a sainted maiden whom the angels name Lenore—
Clasp a rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore.”
Quoth the Raven “Nevermore.”
“Be that word our sign of parting, bird or fiend!” I shrieked, upstarting—
“Get thee back into the tempest and the Night’s Plutonian shore!
Leave no black plume as a token of that lie thy soul hath spoken!
Leave my loneliness unbroken!—quit the bust above my door!
Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door!”
Quoth the Raven “Nevermore.”
And the Raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting
On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door;
And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon’s that is dreaming,
And the lamp-light o’er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor;
And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor
Shall be lifted—nevermore!
On August 25, 2013, the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Terra satellite acquired this image of the drought-fueled Rim fire burning in central California, near Yosemite National Park.
Red outlines indicate hot spots where MODIS detected unusually warm surface temperatures associated with fires. Winds blew a thick smoke plume toward the northeast. A smaller fire—American fire—burned to the north.

July 28, 2018 - Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas US
Moderate Risk day in Western Nebraska and Eastern Colorado.... Extremely Sick... Had a fever... before I left that morning to get into position for that afternoon's weather adventure. My wife was freak'n. Didn't want me going on a long haul to chase... but eventually she gave in an said go get'm Tiger... rest is History!
Though I didn't get any Naders this day... What I did capture was pure storm chasing Eye Candy... or at least it is for me eh! It is what I hunt for.... The true beauty of mother nature... It doesn't always have to be about the nader.....
This was my last storm chase for the next 40+ Days. I did get a few snaps here and there but after the hospital stay... I just wanted to be home and with family. To start to heal.
Late December 2018 when I'm finally able to say I'm healthy again. Prayer, eating well and healthy, and drinking lots of water & exercise can get anybody on their feet again... literately.
Plus I have all of you folks out there that luv this stuff as much as I do.... I have a few more chase's under my belt... in 2018 they were just as epic as this one... There's more to come!
