The Monashee Pacific was a proposed railway in the 1950's that was never built. The Edmonton Model Railway Association, located at Fort Edmonton Park, has created a world where this railway exists. The level of detail is incredible, from the towns, the trains and the people, no minute detail has been omitted. There is even someone taking a crap in the woods with a bear approaching him.

I could have spent days photographing this incredible layout. I have only included the highlights.

Hmmm - two police cars and an ambulance. I think the person in the orange car is not well. Also there are no skid marks on the road and the car is not very much crushed. So it did'nt happen because of too much speed. The driver is very likely drunk. He or she will be losing the driver's licence for a long time when out of hospital. Even worse - the curious man living in the house on the left will witness it all.

The boys had their work cut out for them this week as two ONR SD40-2's were in for new paint. But they are looking good now. You can check out the before and after pictures. From the before pictures they were in need of the paint. LOL Of course it is the other way around.

Abandoned building on the hills.
