A 1966 model that spent her service life as a trials aircraft. Donated to the Boscombe Down collection however when that organisation moved to Old Sarum this airframe had to be left behind presumably due to space? Moved on to Everett Aero in 2012 at Bentwaters and acquired by the British Phantom Aviation Group in 2019 who took her to Wymeswold. However the group ultimately decided to move to Kemble in 2020 and XT597 is one of three airframes to eventually be displayed. Arrived at Kemble in 2021 and placed under cover in 2023 with restoration work under way.
This is one of John Sinclairs' photographs that I thought would look good if given the tiltshift treatment, and as it turns out, I was right. These buses, seen in Cowdenbeath depot look like a model line up.
Today I shot a model that wanted more shots for his portfolio. I don't shoot portraits very often so this was a good experience for me.
