She made it into Technical 2, so happy! So you should see her entry for the semi-finalist round soon!

This would be her new make-over...she got red hair! Anyway, I drew the dress completely!

On the right is the barn door style camera drive I sold under the Astrokits name back in the eighties. It tracks the sky to allow time exposures. The larger drive is a high precision quartz crystal stepper motor model that works with lenses up to 300mm for up to 15 minutes, better than some telescopes. The polar alignment scope was purchased from Carton Optical in Japan, the same model used at the time by Astro-Physics.

Home stretch - Model 1 printing press restoration by Etchings Plus - Finally got a laptop!

A lot of soul searching went into whether to paint or not. The Kurust gave a mixed effect plus I have to paint the old aluminium replacement piece and those parts that went back to bare metal when rubbing down. It looked very miss matched so, end decision was satin black as gloss would be too 'new' and in your face. I think it has pulled it together and fits the age. Still need etching primer for the aluminium though.
