The day has finally come when I upload to Flickr a photo I took with my mobile phone (when you've got no more battery for your regular camera because you've been trying to photograph the stars all night long :| ) - I would say quite impressive given the harsh lighting.
It's so surreal how the mountain scenery can move so easily between sunny and lovely in the afternoon to gloomy and brooding in the morning...I think I like the latter more.
A Mobile Platform for harvesting and hauling scrap across a planet’s surface. The bow of the Mobile Platform can dock a small space ship used for scrap spotting. The driver sits in the cab on the vehicle’s right side which has both minifigure-scale access via a hatch on the rear of the cab and human access via a hinge in the middle of the cab. I’m still trying to think of a good name for the pilot, ship, and hauler, which I want to flesh out more in the future. I’ll post a photo including the docked ship soon and videos of the hinge and other features of the Mobile Platform Hauler later.

I made this mobile when I was pregnant. The faces are made of felt and glued to heavy bookboard circles.

From left to right we have: An autonomous spotter, an autonomous pack mule, an autonomous mobile frame (A.M.F.), an autonomous powered armor (A.P.A.), and autonomous regular infantry (A.R.I.).
The mule was inspired by the Big Dog, a real life robot.
The frame in the middle is a Chub, designed by the ever awesome [Soren].
Made for Mobile Frame Zero.

Process:
Taken with Gorillacam. When I perform a self-timer shot with Gorillacam, I use a little larger laundry pinch to set the iPhone on the ground. (I sandwich iPhone between two laundry pinches… looks nice.)
Leave the yellow and blue with Coloursplash.
Apply the Fashion filter at 70% in Camera+.
Lighting, Rainbow and Sharpen effect are added in Photo fx.
Contrast adjusted with the tone curve in Photoforge2.

Hub van Doorne was convinced
that one day everybody would like to own a car. This led to the construction of a prototype of a cheap car that would provide shelter against the elements, hence its nickname : "Mobile Raincoat'. As it was only 80 cm wide, it would pass through most front doors.
The car had a hydraulic converter, developed by Daf. This prototype was not further developed. The folding roof acted as an emergency exit in case the car turned over and ended up on its single door.

Throwback to this past summer, when I couldn't stand the office any more and instead found some random trailhead in the Colorado foothills and posted up for a few hours to do some machine learning programming. Corner office has got nothing on me!
I also tried to spend the in the back of the truck under the stars, but the PoPo didn't much like that and I had to spend an hour at 2am convincing them that I wasn't homeless lol.
