This amazing mortar and pestle was a very welcome gift from Coastal. Here, I'm getting ready to make foccacia. Smells soooo good.

The Pig-Hip Restaurant was founded in 1939 in Broadwell, Illinois. It closed as a restaurant in 1990, but continued as a Route 66 museum until it burned down in 2007.
It was my first time experimenting with gloss, chalk & paint for her lips. And I love the combi! Normally, I'd just use acrylic paint for the lips, but it's easier to achieve shading with gloss & chalk.
