we bought the biggest, juiciest, yummiest strawberries ever, yesterday! i covered a few in chocolate for dessert last night and saved a few for flickr! Happy Monday! =)
Alligator with what I think is an armoured catfish. It was a pretty big alligator - I estimated it to be between 10 and 12 feet long and the catfish must have been a good couple of feet.

If you look closely you can see the tip of its proboscis as it reaches for some more pollen.

This Bewick's wren flew to a branch near me and showed off its catch. At the time, I thought it was some nesting material, but upon closer examination on the computer, I saw that it was a fine delicacy!

Cyanocorax yncas galeatus (Inca Jay / Carriquí). Eating Cotonaster frigidus berries.
The Inca jay (Cyanocorax yncas) is a bird species of the New World jays, which is endemic to the Andes of South America.
Their basic diet consists of arthropods, vertebrates, seeds, and fruit.
The range extends southwards in the Andes from Colombia and Venezuela through Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia.
