Day 52/366 - I made soup today and it was soooo tasty! I love soup, but I find that a lot of soup in a can contains MSG and that does not agree with me at all. Boo! Hiss! Down with MSG!
Lynda's Banana Bread
Prep Time: 20 | Cook Time: 1 Hour | Servings: 8 servings | Difficulty: Easy
Ingredients:
2 Eggs (slightly beaten)
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Shortening
3 Bananas (Mashed)
3 Tbs buttermilk or sour milk*
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 Cups Flour
1/2 Cup chopped nuts (Optional)
*Sour Milk - to make sour milk ad 1 1/4 tbs vinegar to 1/4 Cup Milk. Let stand for a few minutes before use.
Directions:
Preheat Oven to 325 Degrees
Mix in order given in ingredients list.
Do not over mix.
Put in greased bread pan. Bake for one hour on middle rack. Test with toothpick or cake tester for doneness after one hour.
Double recipe to make two loaves.

Today I had a busy housework day! I did the back and front gardens, took a trip to the tip to dispose of a LOT of garden waste! I then baked some samosas - yum!
I love curries and Indian food. Infact, I love most food, but Asian cuisine is my favourite.... I can't pick one!
Off camping for a night tomorrow night, can't wait! :-)
