Plants/Pflanzen: Hauswurz (Sempervivum tectorum), Gold-Fetthenne (Sedum spathulifolium ‘Capa Blanco’), Tripmadam (Sedum reflexum), Krallen-Fettblatt (Sedum pulchellum)

a fine Indian miniature painting.

I purchased this last september in jaipur.

These paintings are often painted on the pages from old books that have ink hand writing. The paper is handmade, and super smooth ... a prefect painting surface for gouache.

They measure at about 1.3cm in diameter.

This figurine is a miniature version of the sculpture, Whimsys Pride, that can be seen at Trentham Gardens; kits are available from Fantasy Wire at 8 and 16 inches tall.

This figure formed part of the display at Trentham gardens entrance hall.

Whenever I see one of these sculptures, either full size or miniature, I can't help but smile. It may be a sysmptom of my second childhood but it does lift my mood.

Went to the store for toothpaste, walked past a table of flowers and somehow this miniature rose ended up with me at the register. Curious.

The kitchen wagon fits perfectly in the lot reserved for the chair in the counter, and it's a great extra working space, when cooking.
