When it's almost spring and roses have yet to bloom, it's a delight to have miniature roses on hand.
Tiny brown arched Cymbidium orchid grows and flowers in the old shade house in Winter.

Macro Mondays theme: Handle with Care.
Here we have a very small snail on a lavender plant, taken using my 30mm Sony f2.8 macro lens.
The size of the snail is a about the size of an average adult small fingernail as can be seen here against the fur of the lavender plant.
An icy day on Trout Lake delivered interesting tree shadows, miniature snow drifts, and a thinly frozen surface.
This tiny Dragonfly is actually only 1.5cm long and is one part of a pair of earrings, with shiny stones set in the wings.
Macro shot of some grass seeds in the summer sunlight and when editing I was stunned by the beauty of this small world !!
There are a couple of notable things here that caught my eye. First of all, there is the miniature horse which is so cute. I am going to call her ‘Tiny Tina.’ Secondly, who designed the roof on the shed? I can’t image what purpose that serves. Thirdly, there is a really large flying bug, which I can’t identify, on the rope in front of Tiny Tina. Lastly, there are a number of different fence styles. Why just stick to one when you can mix it up? HFF

The miniature is only 1,6 cm long, the total image is a little over 3cm.

I placed the boat on a windowsill with natural light coming from the right and placed a a sheet of transparent blue plastic behind to give the effect of water.

Today is my son's birthday, he loved (and his dad too) to play it with Matchbox cars and other brands.
My son has a pretty nice collection.

We have several "wave" sculptures from artists of beaches we visit. This one is approximately three inches tall. Until I looked at it through my macro lens, I thought it was all blue with clear water drops. I was surprised to see so many colors fired inside.
