Here is a close-up of the miniature baby doll and her wagon. This picture is larger than life. The doll is actually under an inch in size.
this miniature buddhist garden is a marvel! it's scope, grandeur and intricacy can't be captured in photos. most noticeable is the sweet sound of many tiny waterfalls, even in the lighted shrine under the stairs. i've been visiting it for over 5 years and always come away feeling enriched and yes, at peace.
it's located right in front of a private, modest house, on either side of the front entrance. it seems to go on forever. i've never met the creator/s and wonder when they tend to it because they never seem to be around. they must know how aprreciated this richness & artistry is by the many people who walk by. of course, to receive this gift, one has to walk.

Stumbled across this newly opened cafe the other day and was excited to see Blythes and Pullips in the displays. This is the first time I have seen such a cafe here in Malaysia. The cafe design is brilliant with re-ments, figurines, and other miniatures displayed under the dining tables.
It's a very relaxing cafe and a happy place especially for doll and miniature collectors. They sells some Blythe, Pullip, Re-ment, etc here. Too bad I didn't bring my camera and had to use my smartphone to take pictures of this lovely cafe.
This picture is a miniaturized copy of an illustration that Northern Tissue Co. used in their Saturday Evening Post ads in the late 1950’s and into the 1960’s. Most of us who are over 40 years old will remember these pictures from our childhood. You could send in labels from the products and receive 11 x 14 inch prints by return mail. I remember them hanging on our bedroom walls when I was a child. They have become classics.
We have framed it in a white wooden frame and covered it with thin plastic glass. The frame is white with a pink ribbon highlight which brings out the pink in the photo. You will also find others in our Etsy shop. Look for other listings featuring different children. The frame measures 1 ½” x 1 ¼”.
I finally saw the miniature railway working, so after hearing its horn as it left, I waited to grab this shot.
This shawl was worked on size .5 mm (8/0) needles with 140/2 cotton thread. It measures 5.5 x 1.75 inches and weighs 607 milligrams. It was a donation to Leigh Witchel's annual benefit auction for his ballet company, Dance As Ever. It sold for $60.
The brass hand was originally on its own, featuring as a paper weight or desk item. Mid 19th century a fashion of making miniature hands arose, usually in metal. It was attached to this marble base at a later stage.

ODC: Miniature World
Among the foliage I found this new leaf. It would have to work for the challenge today as unfortunately I missed a chance for a photo of a hen turkey and her brood of babies. They crossed right in front of me near Bader Park but were in the tall grass of the ditch before I could get my camera set. Dang it! They were so cute too!
This miniature horse lives on a small farm across a country road from one of the high schools in the rural county where I work. He was very curious and moved from his water bowl quickly across his small pasture to check me out. It was obvious he was hitting me up food, but my lack of treats didn't make him leave.
