We visited 'Miniature World' in Victoria, BC, last year and took a lot of photos while there - i took most of them, and my little point & shoot held up pretty well in dark lit conditions through the crazy reflective glass! lol.
Anyhoo - I was amazed by the detail of the minis in there, and it was a blast to look around and take in all of the little scenes and views. Lovely!

I just learned what a tilt-shift miniature image is and thought I'd give it a go. These were processed in Photoshop.

In French "moche" means "ugly" and it sounds a little like "mush". So my BF made the stupid joke "t'es mush" ("you're mush") when he saw me wearing mushrooms...
Anyway!
I was inspired by Alice in Wonderland for these and just needed about 1 year to create what I had in my head. And there you go "only" "simple" mushrooms :)
Wonder why I needed 1 year to make mushrooms? I'm lacking of time :D
"T'es mush"
Blague (pourrie) de ma charmante meilleure moitié me voyant couverte de bijoux "champignons".
Bref!
De petits champignons inspirés du film Alice au Pays des merveilles.
Et oui, j'ai mis 1 an avant de réaliser ce qui me trottait dans la tête.
Une efficacité sans précédent :D

I did this small painting this morning and entered it in a local show. If you look at my previous post, you will see I used the second design idea for this painting.
3x3 inch (7.6x7.6 cm) canvas, Golden acrylics and media, 3/8 flat brush.
I don't have a school uniform for my dolls, so I made up one using different pieces from Re-ment, Barbie, and a hat I got from DM.
My orchid collection is growing. i love this miniature Phaleanopsis Orchid. Since the Sunday markets have moved to within walking distance, I've visitied every Sunday and bought many orchids ...just need an Orchid house now.
The Peperomia argyreia is also know as the watermelon begonia. It has very beautiful blossoms, totally minimalistic with no petals at all.
I have a real miniature peperomia and I think they'll look cute on a side by side photo ; ).
The leaves are beautiful and I hope I got the look right. What I especially love about the Peperomia are its curved stems, it gives the plant a dancer like aura... : )
This postcard is a little deceiving at the two locos at the bottom (the black one and the red one) were actually 7 1/4" gauge and never pulled any trains here! However they did spend several years stored at the railway and were occasionally dragged out the shed and put on display.

ODC Theme : Miniature
Taken 2/4/11
I don't often get into the city, so when I had a chance I thought..."hmmm ODC is mini-stuff today and I haven't done a tilt-shift in a long while." So here's a few miniature tilt-shifts from Melbourne.
They don't look any bigger in LARGE view ... but take a look anyways.
The Re-ment Addicts Group did a Color Theme Challenge quite some time ago, but I didn't have time to do it. I was inspired by all of the great photos they did, so now that I have a lot of time on my hands, I decided it would be fun to do. I am going to do the whole rainbow, and probably post way more photos than I should!
handsculpted by me.
AND I filled a tiny glass vial with this and made a pendant!

Continuing our miniature Oribana project... and here is another artwork for a miniature version of our Oribana composition called SOLO.
The starring vase is Yuri's design called Solo, hence the name of the composition. The flower design is Katrin's Solo-Lily, a special kind of an imaginary bloom :-)
The vase is just 4 cm high, 1-3/4 inches, and the whole arrangement is 4 inches high (10 cm).
Used wonderful hand-made Japanese paper Moriki Kozo for the flowers, classic origami paper for the greens and some silvery designers paper for the vase.
The step-by-step diagrams on how to fold the composition are published in our ORIBANA BEAUTY
www.oriland.com/store/collections/oribana_beauty/main.php Happy folding!
What a sensational day!!!
It doesn't get much better than this. Meeting a beautiful Flickr friend for the first time and spending a day together indulging in passions . . . photography, food & wine and friendship!
Karyn I still can't believe you spotted all those fantastic red fungi!!! Heaven! They just had to be my photo of the day!
(Oh and Janet you were in our thoughts today! You would have screamed with delight if you'd seen all of the red toadstools K discovered)!
Thank you so much K. It really was the BEST day and I can not wait to do it all over again!
Oh and why wait until breakfast . . . I have continued on from where we left off today and the wine and cheese is going down a treat with your Apple & Pomegranate Jam. It's sensational with goats cheese and the blue too!
You are such a gem, a really beautiful person in very way and I am so thrilled that our paths crossed and I have a wonderful friend in you. xx
