my mini looms I made myself. Out of some wide tooth combs and some nuts and bolts.
I use them all the time, they travel well and they fit in my purse. They are a fine gauge.

TBH, took this shot because of the MINI. But when i look at it now in some strange way i feel disconnected from the aesthetic of the space in which i shot this photo...
Thought it would look better when i was shooting but this kind of urban scenery just has nothing beautiful to offer me, and people that were passing by seemed like they don't care as long as they are content with the way they look (even with those who shouldn't care about fashion - alternative, punk or anarchist regiment you could see the effort to make every minute part of their clothing a statement and the time spent on details is actually huge in my standards) ... And that motivated me to think and question things;
Why do so many people care more about the statement of their fashion, the outer shell of their lifestyle visible to others than their doings or the functionality of things...?
On the other hand in terms of architecture; Why is urban decay acceptable in discourse of modern aesthetics... because in most cases it's plain ugly? Yes, it has a statement to it... but honestly, that statement doesn't go that deep in most cases... :/

The orange Mini Cooper our class rented for the P-Rade. It could only fit two classmates, not the entire class.
This mini Adventure Team catalogue is from my childhood. This one came with my first Atomic Man figure. As I am outside US it was hard to get all the G I Joe figures and accessories when I was just a little boy. I looked at this catalogue over and over again and even dreamt that I have all of them on it. I even made equipments and accessories of my own from various materials and I even did sowing to make some uniforms…… I even made paper box spaceship and stuff like that for my small numbre of beloved figures. Now several decades later thanks to the internet, I am fulfilling my childhood dream. However, when I look at this catalogue I still feel the same excitement and happiness of my times gone by.
Summer meals, even though it's just the furthest thing from summer out there. (What up, 45 degrees and rainy?) That's pickled white asparagus on the side--stupidly overpriced but really good from a jar. Rosemary olive demi-baguette and a smattering of proscuitto for Alex, something called summer sausage we like, but not enough, and hot and sweet soprasetta. Alex likes to talk about how when he met me, I was a vegetarian.
It's a decent title, but actually, I had never seen this thing in my nearly 20 years in and out of Reno. It lurks off the interstate on the east side behind a bunch of mini storage buildings. Something about being out shooting random shit last Friday had me in a different space. And even though I have spent most of the last 6 months between Exit 65 and Exit 56 on what is now called I-580, I had never spotted this. I was actually going to try to get some work done in the late afternoon. Headed south, I saw this thing to my left. And so I drove all around finally discovering that it was part of a mini-golf course. Have I played there? Maybe? There was once a mini-golf game in my earliest days of grad school (Fall 2002), but back then, I slept a lot less and drank quite a bit more socially. So I just don't remember. Maybe Tristan or Kevin do. Would it matter though, because it felt like I was seeing it for the first time.
Anyway, there was lots of neat stuff to shoot through the ugly god damned fence. The Instax version is interesting, though I wish the red eyes were visible. There are two Hasselblad frames of this Moai, here and here for a more powerful view. Still, it's not the kind of thing that normal people are drawn to. Or is it? I dunno, there was a recent spate of documentaries about what happened to the people of Easter Island and further speculation about what they were meant to symbolize. I watched those last fall in weekly motel in a Washington lumber town. Or did I? The NOVA disc was released only days ago. Cool
