Well yesterday (January 15th, 2011) my wife and I picked up our Black Mini Cooper Countryman with Black/Anthracite wheels. We drove 220 miles from Dallas, Texas to Edmond Oklahoma to pick it up. Liking it a lot so far. Its pretty well equipped...Automatic Transmission, Heated Seats, Heated and Foldable Mirrors, Harmon-Kardon Sound system, Dual Sunroofs, Sport Suspension, Blue Tooth, just to name a few of the options.
I went out this morning and took a few photos. The weather was rainy, but I managed to get some decent shots anyway.
Seen in Cheddar, this totally immaculate Mini 850 is an oddity..to all intents it looks like a 60's Mini but the V registration says otherwise, on closer inspection the position of the wiper arms is wrong for the older car and the seat material is half cloth.
DVLA have it as an Austin Morris of March 1980, 848cc and liable for full price road tax in its class.
Therefore I think what it is, is a very good reproduction of a MKI 850.

When we were heading north towards Gien we passed a group of Irish registered Mini's and lo and behold they turned up at our campsite. Here a 1275 GT is hitched up to a mini caravan.

Also has 'old' JCW sticker on the side, the race cars have the new logo.

I've really missed the swimming pool and have lost weight over the lockdown period, which is all muscle. So I bought this which I hope will help my legs. Not quite the same as a mile of back crawl, but every little helps.
I made mini cupcakes for the Cupcake Stall and couldn't find anything to keep all my mini cupcakes upright, they tend to fall over in containers. Then I had an ingenius idea to use the egg tray and they fit perfectly! And they looked adorable.
Mini rubber pterodactyl. I think I got it as either a vending machine or arcade prize. Probably early-mid 1990s.
Paul Smith Mini Bag.
Described as a "bubblegum cube" and a "Pepto-Bismol box" Designer Paul Smith's store on Melrose Avenue is a real eye-opener along Melrose Avenue's shopping thoroughfare. The only features on the facade is the long, rectangular glass window, accented by a small tree and the designer's signature. Located at 8221 Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles.
